We now have 5 iPads in the house (ridiculous!) so need somewhere to stack and charge most of them. Didn’t want a solution with a built-in charger as quite frankly I don’t trust them and wanted a known quality brand charger. Should help tidy up the mass of technology and perhaps I can even train the kids to put their iPads back and on to charge when they are done with them!
Looks interesting but I see the potential for lots of scratches on the iPads as the kids take them from the slots and rub against the adjacent iPads. But perhaps not...

All the iPads are in cases. So they should be ok. More of a worry is will they fit in their cases. The kids iPads are in quite bulky soft cases so quite a bit thicker than normal. I’ll take a picture once it’s here with the iPads in it

I have to admit my iPad Pro probably won’t go in: the two kids iPads, a school provided iPad and my wife’s iPad (which is old) will probably by homes in it

My typical impeccable timing. Should arrive Wednesday so maybe I can enjoy it for a month or so.

it looks like the thing in the lounge at LAX, what is it?

So as expected the big cases on the kids iPads are an issue. The school issued case just fits. It’s sort of ok, but not great. At least I’m confident in the Anker charger!

That orange case is some case! Is that the school issued one? Looks like it will provide good protection. Another potential issue with this iPad rack is that if a burglar comes in everything is neatly organised for the taking. Like with people that have all their car keys and house keys hanging on a rack on the wall inches from the front or side door:oops:

No, that’s ours. It’s an iPad 2nd generation so quite a thick device anyway. We have a similar green case on a other iPad (7th generation). They keep them safe even when little kids drop them!
This is round the back of the house well away from the front door but beside large doors into the garden. The blinds are closed every night so it’s not like they’ll be on display. In some ways I’d prefer a burger to find what they want and leave rather than coming upstairs

Love those cases for the littles. When we replace our iPads, we keep the older ones for the grandkids to use when they visit. Those big spongy cases have saved many an iPad around our house... it's a shame that they don't fit in that stand.

We also use an Anker charger for ours, and just stack the iPads on the desktop on my office.

It sure does, just not as big. It’s a fire table from Outland Living. 50k btu but I don’t expect much more than aesthetics. Two 48k btu patio heaters are coming too. Hopefully between the three I can extend the patio use until halloween or early November.

lol all depends on where you live. some folks hang their vehicle keys in the ignition so they have someplace to go in winter if their woodstove catches the house afire and they manage to get out alive...

I really like the look of that stacker for ipads, might get one and the Anker charger too. Get tired of wondering where the ones I'm not using are and how much of a charge is left on them by time I round the missing critters up.

Always on. My wrists aren’t battery powered! :)

Always On will obviously drain battery and I meant flick of the wrist as in it will turn on if you flick your wrist because it thinks you're looking at it. Mine turns on when driving and or other times when I'm not interested in looking at the time.

Still having anxiety about this purchase.

Oh I have been wanting this.
I have been working my tail off.
Even my wife signed off on it, no hesitation.

Just internally, it is still extremely difficult to make a BIG purchase solely for me.

When I post something on here, it is definitely not a gloat moment but a proud, "oh my goodness i have the ability to be able to get this"
When I buy anything with a comma in the price I say "I used to live in my $500 car and take baths in a lake for over a year. I'm not supposed to be able to get something like this."

Just a wow moment all of the time.

Thank You to hard work and dedication to helping others coming back to give yourself the ability to gift yourself every once in a while.

Also, I just really appreciate our MacRumors community.

The way you view content will be changed forever. I have had mine for about 3 years and I have a Samsung QLED in the living room versus this in my media room and the difference is absolutely astounding.

Welcome to the fam and enjoy it!!

Thank You.
I am actually quite excited.

This one if going in to the living room. It has a pretty big TV at the moment, but a Sharp, I'm not even sure how old it is and if they even still make TV's. It may make it's way to the covered patio if possible. I have a hard time throwing things out if they aren't just broken.
It's much to large for any other room. So we'll see where it eventuallys ends up.

But in black which I’m definitely keeping.

still not sure about this, it’s one size so a bit too loose (falls off my shoulders like the picture but I thought that was bc of the style not I’m walking around like this literally) but I love the material.

You must have an enormous room with a 77” tv . We have one at work but it’s in a room that is about the size of the ground floor of my house lol. Enjoy, that’ll be fantastic to watch on

Enjoy the TV, you made a great decision on the LG! I have the older C9 65" and it's fantastic!
