Bought some albums (unfortunately as digital downloads, cause I don't have a record player or CD drive up here at my dorm), but I own them, nonetheless, which is what I wanted.

A funnel for my coffee machine portafilter.

For the last 10yrs I've been using a Gagia Classic with an Ibertital grinder which makes lovely coffee, however the grinder does tend to spit coffee all over kitchen worktop if I'm not careful. I've put up with this for 10 years and then recently I discovered you can get funnels for the portafilter to prevent this, so ordered one from Amazon.

It secures with magnets and has a lip that sits on the outside of my portafilter so that I can still get my tamper in there with the funnel still in position. Works a treat..

Recently decided to upgrade my soundbar (Samsung S50B) and managed to get the Samsung S800D soundbar and subwoofer for about 74% off its normal price.

I was initially looking at the lower price models, then realised Samsung had a cashback promotional offer on through December on certain products. That meant the S800D, normally priced at £649, had £300 cashback.

Did a quick search online and found it on sale at another online shop with £200 off. Decided I’d prefer buying through Richer Sounds (they have excellent customer service here in the UK) and they price-matched, beating the other shop by £10 (the guy I spoke to said he wasn’t even sure how the other shop was able to sell it at that price).

I’ve now received my cashback from Samsung so all in I’ve paid £169 for a £649 piece of kit. I’m pretty pleased with that as I’ve paid less than I did for my original soundbar and less than I was thinking of paying to get a new one. 😃 It’s got a decent sound too, surprisingly powerful for how skinny it is. You can actually feel the sound. 😋

Picked up the 32 inch Samsung Odyssey G80 OLED monitor with smart TV built in. The picture quality is incredible coming from a 10 year old 1440p monitor.

Almost makes me want to build a gaming PC to experience what 4k 240hz looks like.

Some new beard oil from Black Rebel Beard. The best oils available!

View attachment 2479828

I've used beard oil before, but I'm convinced that it wont be a special or specific oil just for beards and must surely be made up of a carrier oil such as Jojoba or grapeseed, and then with some fragrant or essential oils added. I already have Jojoba oil (which can be purchased reasonably cheaply on ebay etc) and essential oils in the house and so mix my own.
