Just picked one of these up earlier. Awesome.
The only downside is that after using it for a few days typing on any other "regular" keyboard will feel extremely awkward

Mario Galaxy, haven't stopped playing it.![]()
Mmmm.... Nice looking setup man!By the way, what camera is that? 40D?
Thanks! And no, it's the 400D (Rebel XTi). I could choose between getting the 40D (body only) and the 100mm macro lens, and getting the 400D (with the kit lens), 100mm macro and ring flash. Since I work taking macro pics and lighting is always a big challenge, it was a no brainer. As soon as I get the macro lens I'll post a few pics

Looking forward to seeing them. I'm sure that'll provide you some good lighting![]()

Hah, I looked at your post & wondered for a moment why the hell has he got a ring flash on the stock lens?!. I love my 100mm macro, but I haven't used it anywhere near enoughNow I just have to wait for the 100mm f2.8 Macro lens to get here next week![]()
I just got mine with my new Mac - I'm in love. I wish I would have gotten one when they first came out!!

I love my 100mm macro, but I haven't used it anywhere near enoughPeople are always shocked at how much the thing extends as you turn the focus ring!
No, I have a 100mm macro, but not the same as yours. I use M-series K-mount Pentax gear, so my lenses are all Pentax M series (apart from a couple of cheapies).I assume you have the old, non-USM version, because the new one is an IF (internal focus) lens. And yes, you should use it more often! I used a macro lens with my Canon S1 IS and loved it! I've taken over 30K macro pics in the last two years, so I felt that a macro lens was the first thing I'd buy if I ever got a DSLR.

Nice set up! I have a Nikon D50 with a Sigma 105 mm macro lens and Sigma ring flash. I'm a dentist, so I use my camera for one thing only - intraoral/dental photography.
Worst thing is when I forget to turn the winder off, the motor is rather noisy...BTW, that lens must scare little critters! Thank goodness for IF!![]()
