Yeah, if they ever made a 30" iMac, I'm sure they wouldn't need the big chin anymore. Possibly just enough to have the apple logo displayed on front.

I'm pretty sure they would. Open up an iMac and you'll see the power adapter goes right the way through the whole depth of the iMac.

I think now might be an appropriate time to resurrect this old thread of mine. Who has some new ideas for Mac/iPod/whatever concepts?

looks like several concepts are now a reality, in terms of looks. (a bigger iMac and a mac Pro (1st page).

Yea baby! Dual drives and more ports in the front of the Mac Pro. You saw it from me first! Remember that. (Look at post #1 for people who don't know what im talking about.) :D

That clicking sound the iPod makes always sounded suspiciously familiar...

can you say, "hidden feature!"?

introducing the iRotary!

I can't wait to see the kiddies trying to text on this baby -- take like 5 minutes to get to get a letter.

*Green Machine*

That just hurts my brain. I guess if I lived in a greenhouse, it would be cool. Unless the chameleon refers to it being able to change color? That would be sweet.

Well, if it's anything like my Mini and how hot it gets, it'll be blazing red at all times! No no no, I say you make it more of a MoodMac, like a mood ring. Make it change colors according to my temperature, not its own!

Dang, why couldn't THIS have been my 1500th post?!

Here's my iPhone concept. It's in the Nano case (1g) but it's a little thicker, and it has a special coating to keep it from scratching. The buttons are touch sensitive, like the Chocolate. The buttons change for what you're using it for (phone or iPod) and it's solid black when it's off (can't see buttons/click wheel/screen).

The buttons are actually a touch screen, so you can change the color of the buttons.

Yuk...I'd find the Chocolates buttons are to small to work well with Touch Sensitive...I hope Apple will use Normal buttons

Did you get the buttons changing idea from the chameleon remote control?? It is cool but has really bad battery life.

No, I just thought of it as I was sitting at my computer. Doesn't the Chameleon use AA or AAA batteries? Apple could probably find a way to make it work, though.

Pretty nice, might need a hinge or some method of altering the screen angle, cos at the moment it is a bit steep for normal desk usage.

Appologies for the copyright text but I've added it for my own protection.

This is a personal project created in 2004, long time before the current rumblings for the "iPhone"

Size - iPod Mini,
Model Name - NewtonM - in homage to the Newton and the fact its a smartphone rather than a music phone.
OS - OS-Xm

Techniques used to produce imagery.

Initial modelling in solidworks, exported via stl to 3ds max, then its all rendered, nothing apart from the outside border was added in photoshop although the screen was produced in photoshop :)
