This is a personal project created in 2004, long time before the current rumblings for the "iPhone"

Size - iPod Mini,
Model Name - NewtonM - in homage to the Newton and the fact its a smartphone rather than a music phone.
OS - OS-Xm

Techniques used to produce imagery.

Initial modelling in solidworks, exported via stl to 3ds max, then its all rendered, nothing apart from the outside border was added in photoshop although the screen was produced in photoshop

I REALLY like the interface you designed. Especially the makeshift dock.

I was playing around in Photoshop CS and I just put together a few things. Don't laugh, because I am a total newb at Photoshop. Posted are a few of my creations. I am interested to see everyone else's!

Why dont you go the whole way round the imac. It looks wierd at the moment with just the bottom.

I was thinking of doing away with the cheese grater completely, take the big apple away and make that out of cheese grater. lol I think it would look weird all around the bezel.

I've never seen the inside of the Mac Mini, so I don't know if this would make any sense in terms of heat dissipation. The idea here is just to have a Mini with a graphics card slot.

I would buy that thing in a flash.

I like your interface better. The only things I would change (because of the iPhones design) are the slide out keyboard, and the iSight...

alright, first you guys did a jaw-dropping-job I can't do that good so...

i'll just tell you mine , here is the name: speed-box

just 3"x3"x2" you get 1GHZ extra speed, plug your apple power cord in this, then plug the speed-box into the wall and you get an extra 1GHZ, this works with any mac.

that's my idea so maybe some-one would make it for me

yep. 'cause i have a motorola phone and i couldn't dream up any other icon for "menu" other than slapping the actual word on there.

...it has a special coating to keep it from scratching. The buttons are touch sensitive... The buttons change for what you're using it for (phone or iPod) and it's solid black when it's off (can't see buttons/click wheel/screen).

The buttons are actually a touch screen...

I do believe that you were the closest of any of us to what it really became.

The following's NOT my design concept (it's this guy's - http://www.behance.net/nunoteixeira ) but, personally speaking, after Apple's recent Hardware design keys which are really boring, and conforming and also goes against Apple's prime philosophy to "Think Different" in my honest opinion, we need more concepts for some inspiration.
