The following's NOT my design concept (it's this guy's - http://www.behance.net/nunoteixeira ) but, personally speaking, after Apple's recent Hardware design keys which are really boring, and conforming and also goes against Apple's prime philosophy to "Think Different" in my honest opinion, we need more concepts for some inspiration.

Apologies if already posted elsewhere.

That is one sweet concept!

Is that a second screen on the back? I don't understand the point of it.

The designer said a second built in LCD screen on the back would be useful for students and graphic designers, I don't really know what he meant by that. I think it would be useful when dealing with clientele sitting on the opposing end of your desk. But I think it's mainly and simply an aesthetic attribute, desktop patterns can be displayed on that screen to personalize the unit, harking back to the original iMac days, bondi blue et al.

A working LG model of that particular design aspect can be found here.

Not mine, just bringing the thread back to life...

I wouldn't mind owning an iPhone Nano... 2GB, no wifi, GPS, no Msoft xchange... for us non-business folks.

most of the images in this thread are good ideas.

If they were real items for sale by Apple, I am sure a few people might consider buying some of these.

thats actually waaay nicer then the iPhone now! I hate the materials its made of now...though that shapes a bit rough^^

Agreed, I imagined a more rounded design like the current iPhone but didn't really have the time to manipulate it to where I wanted it.

More of a "get it out of my head and onto the screen" mockup, 20 minutes tops.

I may revisit it and make a proper mockup.

A couple posts ago (like 2 years) a member made a prediction about the upcoming iMac, theirs looks almost exactly like the current version. He had the aluminum and everything. I'll post a link in a second...

Not really. But it certainly isn't perfect, thus the "quick" mock-up. I didn't spend much time getting it as flat as it should be, etc.

I like it a lot.

I imagine it looking a lot like that but maybe using the matte black of the iMac's back on top with the glossy black logo.

Agreed, much cooler.

This is about what I expect from the updates.

That is, of course, unless the TV and Mac mini are merged into one line.

What would be sweet is if they merge the time capsule and tv. Those are two machines that one machine could easily do. Although, seeing as how I just bought a 1 TB Time Capsule a month or two ago and want to buy an tv after Macworld expo, I'd be a little "Son of a..."

Quick mockup of what I want from a redesigned iPhone

I really like this as well. I think it fits in with their line of products much better than the current iPhone.

The Aluminum on the back looks amazing and I like the black button contrast on the front.

This would match my iMac quite nicely :D.

Agreed, I actually didn't believe the rumors and leaked photos of the 3G before release because they went completely against where Apple design was at and moving towards. It was a major step backwards in design.
