Partial setup of my Mac Mini...

I do need to connect my Logitech camera with an adapter (USB A to USB C). A little nervous, wondering if the Mac Mini will have an issue once all ports are filled. So, pausing that step for now...

I constantly have all ports fulled and working at the same time with no issues. You should not have a problem with your camera.

Man, I run my M1 MacMini completely loaded of USB devices. This picture was taken under my desktop.

I run two TPLINK USB3 HUBs hooked in the two USB A ports. Booth of them has a lot of devices plugged, from Externa Spinning Drives to External SSDs.

The two Thunderbolt ports are used to connect two Thuderbolt external SSDs.

This little fella is brave enough to deal with anything you throw on it.

Yes, too many, but there's some free ports there...

1 DAC
1 Webcam
1 empty cable for hooking my SD reader
1 empty cable for my phone
1 USB Printer

lol

All the stuff are velcroed on the wall. Except the printer.

I just tweaked my setup slightly. I added 2 x 24 inch wide desk shelves so that my 43 inch monitor has support legs directly underneath it. It has worked out great. I also have enough shelf space to get my Mac mini and peripherals up off the desk. This in turn made room for my MIDI keyboard which can tuck under the shelf.

OH MY GOODNESS! And here I am stressing about plugging in a camera. Plus, I have a 2TB LaCie drive that I considered plugging in. But, honestly, what on earth am I fearing, after seeing your setup?

All okay thus far. Albeit, it has only been a few hours, and no FaceTime or video call test, yet...

I prefer my Mini raised like this as it makes space for the keyboard and trackpad underneath when I‘m not using them. But I get irritated by the cables hanging down, especially as the riser I have is clear.

How do you keep that enthusiasm? I have not taken my camera out in anger since last November. Don't know if I ever will. It is sad. I retired 14 years ago and from a busy photographic business without the customer it has just faded away.

This is just a work in progress, as I had a dual monitor setup with my Mac Pro previously. Am upgrading my desk and will report back at a later time when it's all finished.

Got an i7 Mini

with a sonnet eGPU attached Focusrite Clarett audio interface connected to Presonus Eris 8" speakers and two monitors Lately I've been doing a lot of audio (StudioOne) and a little video (FCP) It hasn't let me down yet!

I LOVE the Funko Pop Twin Peaks characters! I have Agent Dale Cooper on my desk at work and my wife has the Log Lady on her desk at work.

How do you switch between Mini & MBP ? Unless you use one device on the same time?
