Swan M10s. Thegoldenmackid reviewed them and it should be in the peripherals section.

Very nice setup w/the M10s!

If anyone decides to pick them up, theaudioinsider is the only company I know of who sells them. They're about $120 shipped.

I've got a set and I love them. Very accurate sound, concise bass. Well worth the money.

Its still blowing my mind with its screen size and quality, but its not enjoying waking from sleep, by this I mean sometimes the screen does not come on but the rest of the mac has woken.

Them speakers will soon be vacating the premises also need to build something under the desk to accommodate my LaCie ext drive.

Oh and raw photos from my D80 viewed full screen at 50% in photoshop is something i never dreamt of a few weeks ago!

They're currently on backorder. The D1080MkII's are a great substitute. That's what I ended up getting.

Those speakers looks cool.
Thanks, they help to mend the KRK withdrawal

Lovely photos, Charlie. What DSLR/lens combo are you shooting with? Looks like a 50mm f1.4 judging by the DOF in some of the photos.
Shh, it's the T1i with the 18-55 kit. I'm a poor college student, saving up for a 35-350L

Thanks. Just was sitting there and realize the lighting mixture was interesting.

There are more pictures, as well as the links here. I'm always happy to answer questions.

Spend $99.00 and get the 50mm f1.4 too. The pictures it takes are breathtaking. Don't let the plastic build/mount of the lens turn you off. The glass is truly extraordinary and the bokeh at 1.4 is mm-mm-milky. Best portrait/low-light lens (except for the 85mm f1.2  <-that lens is a chasm of glass. It's remarkable.) that I've ever used.

So it was YOU, ehh!? He told me I was lucky because I had gotten the last one then emailed me later only to tell me that they had miscounted at the warehouse and they were going on backorder.

You owe me some speakers, my friend ;-) Although not really, since I ended up with two pairs of D1080's instead.

I believe that is where he was going with that. To be quite honest, I don't really know what use I will have for it, except taking pictures for MacRumors. Most of my pictures are of sporting events and what not. We shall see, maybe if I find one for $50 or so, but right now, I'm doing fine with the kit lens, when I find that I need to upgrade, I will.

the grass thing is a charging station.

linkage please?
also, linkage for the mario mushroom please?

Hmmm... what didn't make it clear that it was a hackintosh?

Was it the glorious black plastic case that was clearly designed by Apple? Or was it the 4 Ghz i7 processor that Apple definitely sells? 0.o

I mean really. haha.

Well we dont know if there is a Mac Pro off in the background we cant see, and I for one dont bother looking at the "About This Mac" pics. :D sarcasm rules. I just though hackintosh by the case, seriously didnt bother looking at anything else :p

My Setup

Been looking through this thread for a long time, some really awesome setups you guys have going on! I thought it was about time to post my setup, I am a second year BSc Music & Audio Technology student.

My Uni Setup consists of...

15" MBP (See Sig for details)
External 19" Wide Screen Value Monitor
Alesis M1 Active MK2 (Audio Monitors)
iPhone 3GS Black 32GB
Maxtor 500GB External FW
Razer Diamondback 3G
Edirol UA-25EX Soundcard
Behringer Xenyx1204FX Mixer

I'm very happy with my setup, and it works just fine for me! The only thing i'd like to improve on is the keyboard and mouse, with wireless versions and possibly the new magic mouse.

Haha, woops. Brain lapse. Yes. The 1.8 is what I meant. I kept thinking the $200.00 difference was from the 1.4 to 1.2...it's form the 1.8 to the 1.4

MY B.

And yeah, if you're shooting sporting events then I would definitely go for an L-series telephoto. I would LOVE an L-series anything.
