Heres mine, Hackintosh 2.4Ghz Core 2 Due with 4GB Ram and 2x 1TB HDD's on a 22' Samsung and a 17' Sony. 32gb iPod Touch (1st gen). The Macbook is a 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo hooked up to the TV (a 32' Aquos) for use as a media server. The Speakers are Axiom M60's running through a Harmen Karden AVR354. PS3 as well. I just graduated college and recently moved home, hence no class = not much laptop use, so I just keep it hooked up above the TV for the most part. The speakers were a graduation gift (the best one i got might I add).

Sorry for the crappy pic, my sis borrowed my cam and has yet to return it. Hence my sole reliance on iPhone's cam

This will probably be my setup for a while because my bank account needs time to heal

PS That glare in the second pic disappears when you actually sit in front of the monitor

I have really been debating selling my iMac and going with a MBP + 24" monitor. I have been using a laptop and monitor setup at work and it has been working out fine. Your setup is awesome.

I would trade it in as for what most people do with computers these days a laptop can handle it fine... plus you will have the fctor of portability when and if you need it. I guess the only downfall is its extra £££ and also perhaps more wires?

I was in the same position. I sold an HP laptop and a Custom Built Gaming Rig and bought my 13" uMBP and Monitor. Best move I ever made.

Personally, I don't think it's worth it if you're buying the 24" Apple display. It's ridiculously expensive. Personally, I'd go with a Desktop + Laptop combo. It will usually cost less, and you get two computers instead of one. If I were you I would keep the iMac, and get a netbook or a used MB/MBP. It would cost only as much as, if not less than, a 24" Display, and you get to keep your current desktop computer, which is probably more powerful than any laptop you would consider buying.

so there is someone else who likes wasabi! :D:D:D jw, where do you get the giant cans at? I can get the small ones at wal-mart, but to get the big ones I have to go to the Japanese market

@techno96, blur your wifi router access password. If someone gains your IP, its very easy to hack Linksys routers, cause of their CGI interface/coding.

It is a small world indeed.

And also we do sell Ticonderoga pencils. The schools choose what brands of particular products they want. We have approximately 30 different types of pencils.

I did exactly that. I absolutely loved my iMac and I'm happy with the switch. I got the LED cinema display because of the convenience and it works very well.

I live in Baltimore, and my local supermarket, I forget if it was Giant or Safeway had them in big cans, point is there were no ducks hanging in the window wherever I bought them

we just had new carpet put in the hole upstairs of the house, so I thought it would be wise to snap a shot before it reverts back to my normal desk.
