Got a new 2.66 Quad Core.
Used Contour shuttle pro.
Air port extreme base station for my wireless.
Got Stardom Safe Capsule to back up all my files, video and iTune songs via wireless.
Bought a used Epson R280 and ufosystem ink refill system and Epson 3800 with inkrepublic iRefill.
The monitor is a cheap Acer but I also use a Matrox MXO to get the best quality and save render time.

Stardom Safe Capsule

Looks like a good setup, I think I'm going to do something like that.
What's up with UFO? What's the deal with the Stardom Safe Capsule, is that like Time Capsule?

I do not have a time capsule so I don't know but I can use it with time machine and back up my files and share it thru wireless.
I can also connect it to my printer as well.

The ufosystem is a refill ink solution for Epson printers and this is the only that works after I tried more than 10 different solutions from different brands.

This one is annoying as hell to be honest. The major problem is that it doesn't have a power button, so I have always have to unplug it. But the newer MyBooks all have power buttons I believe.

how's the my book drive by the way?

i think i will be buying my book not only it looks sleek but i like the upright position to save space i was also looking at the verbatim insight drive but it is not upright and it has the same black glossy look

I see that many of you has that laptop stand that holds the MBP vertically and closed. Is this safe?

I thought working with the MBP closed isn't very good idea because it doesn't dissipate the hot very well and the screen can be damaged. am i wrong?

And, how can you power on the laptop without open it?

its safe, there is an article on the apple site that describes the process.
just make sure the macbook has power and and display connected.

I like the older setup better.

yea i JUST switched the setup so im still settling into it. however with the single cinema display my workspace is much cleaner. only one power plug and one cable going to the macbook.

my dual monitor setup had so many wires and cables, it was very annoying. also the second monitor was driven by a usb display link adapter and it wasnt very pleasant to use, i found myself using just one monitor most of the time. in fact the monitor on the left was designated as my PS3 monitor so I was already using one.

also with the cinema display i get the isight and a mic. something i did not have before.
