Updated my setup in the basement:

I need to invest in camera light from B&H or something, hard to get the color balance right with the limited lighting I have.

8 core Mac Pro - 16GB RAM - ATI 3870 - Backup gaming for LAN parties
Dual Core 1.8 Mac Mini - Media PC, runs home theater room library
Intel I7 Quad PC with 8800GTX - friend gaming PC
Intel I7 Quad PC with ATI 5870 - main gaming PC

You sir, live in heaven :O

The computers are hidden in air cooled cabinets with temp probes:

Not much space for your arms to rest.
Cool lightings and cabinets.

30" ACD now on the desk rather than the wall. Picture of the iTunes screensaver as well!

Nice setup. The candle adds a nice ambiance to it. :) My iMac G4 is getting long in the tooth (it's going to be 7-years old in a couple of weeks) so I'm turning my attention towards either a Mac mini or a MacBook as a replacement. After you've had your Mac mini for a while could you do a review? So many people that have them are using them for home theater setups and talk about how great they are, but people using them for a computer don't seem to actually say much about them.

The radio should be up in my room but I am waiting for the fresh plastic smell to go away.

Besides, if it wasn't there, I'd be posting the same basic desk picture I've been posting for the past 8 years or so! I've had a plastic cinema display and G4 of some sort for way too long. XD

I <3 my plastic Cinema displays though!

My setup is always constantly changing. I don't seem to ever be happy for more than a month or too!

Anyway the last time I posted my setup it was this

3807746301_cd640b6020_b.jpg

Since then I've changed the setup quite a bit. Before I had the Apple Cinema display on a humanscale vesa mount. However the ikea desk wasn't strong enough to cope. The mount bent the desk and I was concerned about leaving it any longer.

I therefore to a trip to ikea and bought a shelf and some kitchen unit feet. With these I made a stand for the monitor like I had done in my testing rig cupboard (Link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gordyhand/3808122355/in/set-72157621876078765/)

Also I've been out and bought an apple wireless keyboard and a magic mouse to replace my old apple keyboard and logitech mx revolution. Add to this my new netbook. Which is an HP 5101, it's got a high res 1366x768 screen 7200rpm hard drive, and I've put in a Broadcom crystal HD card for playing HD content.

The hp mini 5101 is going to replace my macbook unibody for going to clients. In fact I've just bought a mac mini to replace it. But those pics are for another day once I get my new monitor and the mini setup properly.

The other addition was the lacie hard drive, it now is in the cupboard with a long cable as I hate any noise in my office. I was in the process of setting it up when I took these pictures.

Great purchase. I use my Mini as a dedicated machine for my web design and graphic design projects for school and some intensive image editing. The machine was far more capable than the 2009 aluminum unibody macbook pro that I sold to purchase the Mini. I also upgraded the hard drive and ram and even without those upgrades right out of the box it out performed my MBP. Geekbench score was higher, etc. Love the little machine.

Now.. hopefully Apple shows the Mini line some love this year! I want to
replace my 2.26 Mini with a 3.06 core2duo or something better.
Wanna know what I just realized yesterday?
I just bought a Dell Mini on eBay and am waiting for it this week, so now I own 2 "mini" systems.
hahah!
