3 graphics cards to accomodate the minidisplay connections, also have the LCD TV on the wall being pushed via DVI to HDMI from one of the 3 cards.

The Book Arc is simply a piece of metal that you place the MB in to hold it vertical. You use the MB in closed lid mode and wake it by pressing the space bar on your keyboard. I have one and love it. It is a tad bid expensive but just like all things Mac it's design over cost.

so basically, you turn it on, close it up sit it in there? So you can't turn the laptop off at night with out taking it out of the stand and pressing the power button?

Well technically you can power it down, but the idea is to leave it sleep when not in use while it's in the stand that way you can instantly wake it and get to work.

DO you have to take the mac out of that stand to turn it on every time? Or is there a button on the stand ?

Yes. It's the one reason why I sometimes wish I bought the mStand instead. However, I just put the computer to sleep instead of shutting it down. However, it's a small inconvenience. I still prefer the bookarc because it saves precious space on my desk and I only need to work with Cinema Display when the mbp is hooked up to it. However, if you prefer display space over desk space then the mStand is probably a better choice.

Yeah i have a mstand and it kinda does take up some room. But it would drive me made having to pick it up and turn it on and put it back. Ah well personal choice!

Here's my setup, at uni studying graphic design so this is used for my work, 2nd monitor for xbox 360 and use for watching tv shows/movies via plex.

2008 24" iMac 2.4 4gb ram
24" (1080p) LG W2486L LED backlit monitor
Logitech Z523 Speakers
Magic Mouse
Wireless Keyboard
Remote

1.5 TB WD for backup/media
1.5 TB WD for time machine
Xbox 360 controllers + games (console on shelf under desk)

Also a 320gb Packard Bell store and play HD i'm fixing. (plugs into tv via red yellow and white, so perfect for movies for my parents.)

Nothing extraordinary, but does everything I need. Living in rented accommodation so cant do anything and a little small. Am gradually preparing for when I get my own place and can have a proper TV and HTPC. And need to get another HD for backing up main HD and rotation.

Just need to do some wire clean up at this point

OH. MY. GOD.

I would totally post a picture as a response to this post. Something along the lines of achieving climax, but alas, I would be b&. This is one of the most amazing things I've seen in this thread. I will someday have a 27" iMac on an Ergotron arm. Someday.

I'm impressed with all the snazzy minimalist desks. Here's my attempt, albiet incomplete.

Glad to see I'm not the only one around who still likes KDE and thinks that Model M's are where it's at. That's an awesome set-up you've got there.

What kind of monitor mounts are you using?

I see you have the Herman Miller Scooter. I have the same in Ebony down in my entertainment room. Love it for my 15" macbook pro. Still leaves plenty of room for papers.

Well here's my latest update to my setup, I bought a Quicksilver G4 with some left over B-day money :D, the Quicksilver is also hacked & running Leopard.

Please excuse my untidiness under the table where the eMac sits, my parents are in the process of moving house so I'm sorting out things in my room.

PS make sure you full large its much better quality

Do you not get fed up with two mice? I quite often use my iMac and MacBook at the same time, and I just use teleport.

I am rather curious as to why you need 6 computers, especially all set up like that at once.

May sound odd lol, but what do you use the macbook for when your not using the bigger LCD screen? Just when your at college? and do you mind the 13 inch screen when you're out and about?
