I found this picture posted here somewhere but does anyone know what usb hub that is on the back of the monitor. I circled it in black.
More importantly, how is that hub connected to the iMac? Not as in how is it mounted, I mean, which USB cable is plugged into the actual computer?

I just got a new Unibody Macbook and I only have a PowerMac G4 left of all my stuff.
But my Macbook is really sweet,2.26Ghz C2D,2GB ram,and a 250GB HD.and the graphics is really nice.

Sorry, I just noticed it was so huge. I will resize when I get home. :p

You don't have to resize the image, if you just edit the original post with the image (change the opening image tag IMG to TIMG and the closing image tag /IMG to /TIMG) everything will be fine.

Sorry for the miserable pictures, but I can't seem to find my camera:

Besides my MacPro (see sig), those speakers are M-Audio AV-40's (which just broke today, unfortunately) and the monitors are Acer x233H's--not great monitors, but they were dirt cheap. I've also a WD 500GB external and my 8GB Touch in the pictures somewhere.

I like the workspace, but I need to work on my cable arrangement under my desk.

My setup. Going on 3 years and I'm still in love with my MBP.

Looks like the USB cable goes from the iMac through the hole in the stand into a bundle of cables with a cable clamp and disappears from view for a bit, but eventually plugs into the 3rd port from the top on the far side of the hub.

I the same monitor in a single configuration and I hate it. Like you, I picked it up dirt cheap. I do not recommend this monitor for any type of graphic semi-professional work. The color differentials on this thing are ridiculously poor. The same gray can look either dark or light depending where on the screen it is. I'm looking for a new monitor ASAP.

Edit: For those looking for the Maxell poster, I have one in my office that I bought directly from the source. It's current $5 cheaper than AllPosters.com and it comes without the ugly black border: http://www.shopmaxell.com/detail/TCL+CA96402

I haven't noticed anything that bad (so far), but the work I'm doing right now doesn't require me to do any color-intensive stuff. But, when I first got them both, one of the monitors displayed distinctly different colors than the other, no matter how much I tried to calibrate them equally. I returned it and got a new one, and while they still don't look great, at least they match.

I bought three of them during a sale at Fry's, then tried to sell them on Craigslist a few months later. Won't make that mistake again
