@macgeek 18 use the Studio display on the macbook. Not the fugly dell

The Apple Studio Display only has an Apple Display Connector (ADC), macgeek18 would only be able to use it with the MacBook by purchasing a costly adapter. Cheaper to just keep it with the G4 which has an ADC connector built in.

How do you like these speakers? My M-Audio AV-40s bit the dust, and I was never really a fan, so I'm looking for something else in the same price range...

They're GREAT. I originally bought the Swan M10's but was the FIRST order after they went on backorder. So I requested to chang my order to the D1080MkII's because they were equivalent in price and I didn't want to wait a month or two :D

They have great clarity (notably - vocals, acoustic guitar, and piano), good bass (it's hard for me to give you an accurate idea of how good the bass is...they're on a shelf slightly above my desk, so the enclosed space really amplifies the bass and gives it a boost. Some songs sound REALLY bass-y then...You can attach a subwoofer, though I'm not sure it would make too much of a difference. If you want that much rattle, buy Buttshakers haha :p)

They're darn pretty and VERY solid. They're heavy. Shipment was ~26 lbs.

This is my computer Desk handed down to me by my dad when i moved back into my parents place after my x girl friend who flat out dumped me. Krissie Pantone from wurtsboro NY selfishly left me for a crummy life of drinking booze at dive bar night clubs and smoking dirt weed with losers. I started out a heart broken bum sleeping on the floor of my parents two bed room condo in miami broke and alone. I almost attempted suicide once or twice. The only thing keeping me alive was music.

After i heard she was screwing other foreign men my desire to make something of myself was like a volcano ready to explode. I worked on music for years and years improving every time i created something new. The pain in my heart was my motivation for me to think in different ways and be more creative then i ever imagined. Now I make a living I have seen my art make it and vibed out to my music on the radio quite a few times. I bought my own place and drive a Black Lexus on 22's.

I have had women stalk me and Fans reach out to me from all over the world. The X girl friend over heard about my success and had the nerve to attempt to reconcile. The only words that came to mind were "My how the tables have turned" Krissie Pantone from wurtsboro NY thanks for dumping me and giving me the motivation to make something of myself and teach me a life lesson that you can do anything you set your mind to. With out goals we are lost in life.

do you even leave the houise lol. just kidding. I have the same 13 inch mac book pro.. can it really take 8 gigs of ram and how hard was it to put in...

yes it can take 8GB RAM, even if you do it yourself DDR3 memory is still quite pricy i paid about £300.00 just for the ram i think that would work out at about $600.00 or so

i received an email from the OP in the other thread regarding this hub and you can buy it at http://bit.ly/99PeoQ. looks like you can use it powered or not powered. don't see anything about shipping to the U.S. so us stateside folk might be out of luck. the OP used double-sided tape to adhere the hubs to the backs of his ACDs.

edit: after googling for a domestic supplier, i found the same hub available in the U.S. http://bit.ly/bzAeJj

thanks i emailed him when i first saw it but he didnt respond so I posted the pic here to see if anyone else knew what it was. Thanks for finding it.
