Aargh, I used to have an iMac like that, and you're really making me regret selling it. Even if I never used it for anything (a 700MHz G4 just can't compete in today's world), it was a brilliant piece of design, my favorite iMac Apple has ever built. I need to get me another of those :(

Well here's my latest setup picture its almost complete :D

What's that document with the Apple logo on it, on the shelves next to the globe?

I am just amazed by ALL of your photos...I am going to be moving home again so I will have to set everything from my college aprt. back home and I will use some good wire management and clean look.

Just curious but do you guys actually do your written work on your desk most of it looks too full of gadgets and a little more distracting...lol if I had that much tech in reach I probably would do ZERO work...as it is MacRumors is keeping me up till 2am everyday and not even able to do my HW, study for finals, r anything else...need to quite now... before my eyes start bleed from staring at the screen to long. Recently been using polarized glasses to help me stair at the comp. But besides this facebook, youtube, hulu, and online HW, actual classes, I barely have time for anything else...better go outside and live life.

+1 to that, Browsing this thread has given me a lot of ideas about wire management, and generally a clean, efficient workspace.

As you can see, mine is quite the opposite at the moment, heh.

my college desk is pretty clean I have everything in the back and zipped tied together but my desk at home it built in with a marble top and so it will be a little difficult to run my wires from the side and stuff.

Since I'm trying to focus on my work and that doesn't help, I made a lil collage.

Do you mind me asking, what is the model number for that 22" in your 2010 picture? Or even a link to a website with it?

They are actually grey, but very light.

It's an S2231 with the EzUp foot (amazing ergonomics!!) It's not made anymore and replaced with S2233 http://www.eizo.com/global/products/flexscan/s2233w/index.html
Dude buy some plastic zip ties they're cheap and make your whole wire setup look really nice and clean. its pretty easy
Hehe I know! Thing is I move around quite a lot of the stuff tho.
Those must be some awesome white speakers to be in use since 2002 ;)
IT's a pair of Altec Lansing Satellite 31, and they also have sub (which is under my desk)
And they are quite decent! With dual inputs, so I can play music on them remotely when I'm having the MBP on my lap
I also have Dell linux box behind the screen (Optiplex sx260 with ubuntu9.1)

Are those really the same speakers in each picture? It looks like they grew a knob (don't read too much into that) between '02 and '05, and got fatter between '05 and '07, yet the fundamental design looks the same.

When you mentioned it, i did have a pair without subwoofer.
I gave them to my brother, which I actually think he broke them.
The speakers is the same, but a bit higher since they had the psu inside the speaker and the ones with sub, did have the psu inside the sub (and can't work without it).

Also the mousemat from 2005 is the same model as the one in 2010, I've got two of those (I had two, the first one is long gone)

I wish I had The Stig on my desk too!
He would have looked upon me with contempt each time I
ventured into MR instead of actually doing what I'm supposed to do!

I recently moved to my new apartment, so time to upload my new setup.
I took a few ideas from this topic, especcialy for handling cables and so..
Cable management behind the tv is desastreus, luckily the cabinet hides most of them.

I was trying to make a panoramaphoto and filling the missing pieces with Photoshop's content aware fill, but well.. I basically ended up just cropping the image because it's not that good yet...

What do you guys think?
Fun setup? Or what would you change?
