Krafty for such a stylish person (and rich, going by all the money you spend on coffee XD), your setup is very boring. XD I was expecting at least a 27" cinema and some kinda aeron chair or something. :D

Also: I have 2 5.1 setups that are sitting just like that and they're fine. Having to wire all that up sucks, but hey what can you do?

Maybe he/she pulls them out into a 5.1 setup when they feel the need to lol.

Bookmark this for the future when you decide to bash me on the 5.1 system AGAIN.

I go to an art college.

I don't consider myself "rich," more-so middle class, but even then I sell and try to work for my stuff although I've only had one legit job (out of 54 I've applied for), still it paid. Other ways was buy selling old things. Last item I sold, I somehow managed to scored $25 for a GBA and all the Pokemon games. Still don't know how that happened but, I made him happy.

I don't consider myself "poor" as this isn't a college for the "poor," but more-so lucky for being in this position as there are kids who would die to be here with the talent, if only they had the money like the kids here who drive BMWs, Benz, Lexus', and Infiniti's at 19-21 years old. My best friend whom I love to death (not just because shes korean) just purchased my dream car: Nissan 350z, and shes 19 FFS. Hey, they may deserve it, or not, but they're way better off than I certainty am ATM.

My 99' KIA Sportage SUV which makes a loud squeaking sound on a old start-up (I think its the fan belt? It squeaks for about 5 minutes until I rev it) and is in dire need of an alignment has gotten me from point A to B just fine (whether it does it safely is another story, but I've transported a lot of Asians in it and most of them, as well as other people, dont even have a car, so I'm not complaining).

The coffee is either bought by me or my friends, since when I drive them they usually repay me by buying me coffee or food. The ones I post is what I purchase, but I don't buy them 24/7.

My setup is boring cause I don't have time or the money (cause I'm not rich, I save it all for supplies, most of those appliances are over a year old aside of the iPhone 4 & iPod Classic) to make it look pretty, or buy ambient lights at the IKEA down the street priced at $55 a pop. The chair I have is a yellow plastic seat form IKEA I bought last year that cost $9, and its cracked on the side.

I still sit in that bitch.

My 32" Sanyo HDTV is on the dresser opposite the side of the room I photographed, as I only use for my 360. But the school cuts corners in a lot of areas, and for some reason the internet doesnt like anyones router so I can't even use my 360. Both 360 and TV have been off for about 2.5 weeks now as I don't have that much time to fool around (even now, I should be working on this essay). However, got that on sale and the 360 was from launch so its old as well.

Got that Acer monitor on sale at Best Buy.
MM was $15 after using a gift card I got for Xmas.
Keyboard was $15 from Craigslist

Anyways, the 5.1 system is the way it is because
A) It's a dorm, I couldn't be arsed.
B) They stuck me with a room mate this quarter, so now I only have half the dorm.
C) It's a dorm, I couldn't be arsed.
D) I'm only in the dorm for 10 weeks. At this point, only 2 weeks left as its finals.

Anyways, if you want me to make the dorm more special then you are more than happy to donate to my paypal and I promise you I will put together the best dorm room you ever will see (as I'm going to try to get a single next quarter).

Until then, I am more than grateful for what I have thus far.

I'm a tad of a neat freak. A lot of people wanted me as a room mate for the apartment complex next door (that all of my friends are in. Seriously, I'm a senior and I dont know anyone in this dorms anymore).

My parents don't want to rely on other people to pay half the bill, if anything my friends have almost all gone through the "well, I thought since I was sleeping in the living room that you would pay 2/3 and I would only pay 1/4" argument and drama.

Ouch Krafty! I now know why you call yourself krafty hehe (because you have to be to go to an art school on a tight budget!)

My hat's off to you lol.

But I wasn't against your 5.1 setup, as I said mine's the same way.. and for a similar reason (lack of space).

Good luck :) I hope in the near future life treats you better and you can get a swanky pad ^^

eh, dont even bother. i really like your setup, and i especially love those speakers. if you dont have the room then why even bother moving them around - i bet you cant play them very loud anyway because of close neighbours.

whats wrong with your MB?
True. When I had the Z-2300, I got a noise complaint with the volume at 35%, so I try to keep these down anyways. It's just this is the 3rd time people keep bashing me on the positions and I get it.

But at $400 retail, I got them for $199 off Newegg 2.5 years ago.

My MB just appears to be failing. I've been through 8 repairs throughout Apple care and now that its over, there's nothing I can do for it. It still works, but barely: Screen flickers, but that was my fault, it has problems running some software (InDesign wont open, I have to open a file or else it freezes at the document setup screen), anything else causes the fans to BLARE (even 4 tabs in FF), which is why I can't do other work during lectures.

But it still works.

I really want at a 15" or 17" MBP, but fraking 1.5-2 grand.... there's kids here who use it to browse facebook. I got the mini since I helped pay for it and bought the 23" myself, but I was trying to see what all I could sell, and even both my macs would only add up to about 1/3 of a 17".

I like minimalistic, and I dream about having setups on here. I've been meaning to buy those lights people place behind their screens but at $35... I really don't know if I could justify that right now.

Who knows about my future, as much as I'm trying, my senior year is the equivalent of me eating cheese fries in the coach department of a plane heading towards a nose drive.

I just hope it crashes after the graduation mark at least. Thanks anyways.

I usually push the MM to the side, but I charge my iPhone on that side as its my alarm as well.

I havent had that happen, but if so then me and my tech things would be screwed as its pretty high up (since now I have to shove my junk underneath.

I don't usually move while sleeping so its alright.
