The older ACDs are so classic/elegant and in my opinion are much nicer than the newer ones. Nice setup!

Here's my setup updated. If I'm successful with my new Tech Assistant job. I plan to get a Mac Pro most definitely early next year either that or a 27'' iMac :D. I also plan on upgrading my Olympus E-420 to a Cannon 550D or a Nikon D90 at some stage as well.

Great setup! What are the two lights you're using there? I'm desperate for a couple of decent lights to sit over the top of my 24" screens for programming. Cant stand having the light in my eyes, so something like you've got there would be ideal :)

They work well, but can be grainy by todays standards. They don't do well in low light.

Talking about webcams, aren't you disappointed with the quality of apple's built in ones? My old HP laptop have a much better webcam compared to my MBP

Very much I am. In fact, over the last 5 years. I've just gotten more and more upset with Apple's quality in products. So much so that I may even sell my Mac Mini and just use my ThinkPads. Especially with Windows 7, I don't find any real need for me to use Mac OS anymore. Especially since my Mac Mini has crashed more than any computer I've ever had (other than my 13" MacBook Pro which I sold a while back). I really had no problems other than build quality with machines before 2008. Leopard was a great OS. Either way...

Yeah, I prefer them and I'd never get away with that setup if my displays were glossy.

I don't know what caused your Mini to crash frequently but mine never crash, especially since I've upgraded the RAM.
Before that, I kept seeing the spinning beach ball but after the upgrade, I rarely seeing it now.
Well another Mac user converting back to Windows world...

I have 4gb of ram in mine. And yeah, I sorta left after Windows 2000 went the way of the DoDo but using 7 has just been a treat. Although it seems a tad slower, I haven't had a crash or any real trouble with my Mini since 10.6.5. Still, its much slower than it really should be, and it's just sometimes wonky, it seems to have trouble deciding what it wants to do sometimes.

^ I just happen to telecommute for my job. I use dual displays because I have to look at lots of crap, the 30" is great for my photography, but it's not what I "do".

Have you tried the usual (resetting permissions, even a reinstall, etc)? I used to have a CD 1.66 MM that also ran quite slow, and one time the Tiger partition just sort of... died. Fortunately I used Boot Camp at the time and I was able to boot into XP until I had time to do a reinstall. Gotta say though, it was def. the best Windows machine I'd ever owned :D
