Except for the box parade on the shelf, that setup looks absolutely nice!
Love it!

I have the same, ridiculously large desk. Mine doesn't look that nice, though. :D

x2. Throw those boxes out and your setup score will go up. :p

I remember when Apple boxes were actually something special, but in the past 5 years or so they've slimmed them down to nothing to save on shipping costs. Check out the boxes for the original G4 PowerBooks or the original iPods. Now THOSE were worthy of keeping around. :)

I still keep all my apple boxes, although I keep them in a closet rather than a part of my setup. They aren't as nice as old school apple boxes but they still are worth keeping and can help resale value if you go and sell something

Macbook (2009)
27inch iMac (Purchased last week)
White Solo HD Beats By Dre Headphones

Don't mind the pink folders on the floor...I am a girl :D
Now I have my iMac I'm looking for a really good desk to have all my gadgets on and so I can do some work for my Master's while finishing University.

I have almost the same set up as you as far as the computers and headphones go! I'm also a girl. I started getting into the whole Apple thing in November 2009. Being in school, I seem to use the macbook, iMac, and iPad equally. Anyways, very nice setup!

New monitor. Except it was DOA. So I didn't bother to put things where they belong when I took the pic. Hopefully I'll have a working one by the end of the week.

I agree with those up top about taking out the boxes. I absolutely love the contrast between the colour of your wall and your furniture/bedding. Good job :D

I kinda like the boxes, I wish I had kept mine. Some folks have knick-nacks, model planes, action figures and such. Boxes are a nice change.

I kept all my boxes, except that I didnt put it on my workstation, all filed in the stock room. :D

thanks for all the comments. The box display is more than likely just temporary, tbh the boxes will be going in the cupboard soon.

I keep mine around in the closet in case I ever want to sell something. Generally people seem more willing and excited to buy something if you have all the original packaging and boxes. Call me OCD (I am...painfully OCD), but I even kept the plastic jacket for my wireless keyboard. Yikes.

Wow now that is OCD.

In my quite extensive experience in selling used Apple products over the years through craigslist and kijiji, I've never had someone even ask "does it come with the box?" I think the notion that it affects resale value is a myth. I always price my products near the high end of the range as I take good care of my stuff (though I NEVER use a case on Apple products) and I never have trouble selling them at full asking.

I know...it's awful, really :p

And you're probably right after all. In other news, though, it does make things easy for transport, e.g. moving my plasma TV, speakers, and the likes to and from school. Just gives me some peace of mind that they're less likely to get damaged in all the commotion.
