I have a 32" Sony Bravia mounted above the iMac that I use as a second monitor sometimes. Any recommendations?

Haha those speakers are so cool. They look like a ____________________

Anyways, how is the sound quality of them? I'm not sure which ones they are, but I think those speakers are JBL right?

Those are the JBL Creature Speakers. I have those in my living room connected to an iPod. They're good value for the price, though the base quality can get a bit distorted by playing too loudly or content that has heavy low end.

Haha, just a coincidence. Never really thought about that, but nice catch!

I like them. A lot of people are against Bose for some reason. I'll admit, I'm not much of a audiophile, but I love base, and these deliver!

Tv stand is from Ikea. Happy New Years everyone!!!

thanks! my friend has the Companion 5 but there's a big price difference between the two, just making sure the Companion 3s are still worth it and seems like they are. happy new year

So you understand the term low end, but can't spell bass?

Oooh more pretty setups :D

Loramarthalas, grats on your iMac! I see a maximized window on a 27" screen.. maximized windows make me a sad panda. Soon, you'll find that when you don't maximize everything you can do neat things like chatting and working at the same time! It's really cool. :D

George: I can't see much of it, but I like your chair!

Nick: Don't feel like you have to explain your purchases. I don't think I could afford a pair of Bose anything, but heckling people on their new toys is just mean. If it makes ya happy, well.. grats :D

base vs bass... I'm not surprised lol. I still have a habit of pronouncing bass so that it rhymes with ass, because I grew up reading that on my bro's walkmans and radios. At some point later in life, I was taught that it's actually pronounced "base", but I continue to pronounce it as bass out of protest for abusing english like that. XD

^ I realize, that paragraph is not in proper English, my apologies.

what are those second earphones?

I was about to ask the same thing. They look very interesting.

They are Audio Technica ATH-Ew9 "Sovereign" Haha. I got them as a part of this huge grab bag deal off of head-fi, and decided to keep them because they are so cool looking and actually sound VERY good. Gradoesque in clarity and voice. They are apart of the AT woodie line. I can't bare myself to part with them yet..but they retail for $200.

All I need (on the go that is).
My mobile mac set up.

I absolutely love that headphones, I've tried that last week at the Apple Store in Paris with some random Patrick Wolf music (great music, btw!..) and they absolutely rock! I would like to buy them but they're so pricey (300€, am I wrong?)

Sometimes I feel like buying a MB Air. It's so light and slim.

If it weren't for the price premium, and the small capacity harddrive, it would be the ultimate media machine.

But alas. No.

Love patrick wolf. They are great headphones. Not the best to be had soundwise for the price I paid for them, but you get a balance of comfort, portability and style on top of the sound quality.
