Be aware if you have your screen infront of a window, on brighter days the big difference in latitude of the tones you see between the screen and outside can bugger up your sight a bit.

Boy is that true. I have that problem in my townhouse room. During the day even with the blinders shut my eyes are screaming at me.

It seems that most people prefer their Mac Setup against a wall, or some kind of a close surface.

I was wondering why is that so... Maybe because of cable management, or space optimization, dunno.

Personally, I like to see something else beyond my screens. Even for eye strain and "lock up" it is advisable.

Thank you, community, for this excellent forum.
I'll post mine one of these days.

+1 I also don't like my desk facing a wall.

I have no where else to put my desk, otherwise I'd prefer to not face the wall, but have the wall off to my right. It certainly would make accessing the cork board easier...

+1 for loving digitalnicotine's space! I love the shelf that houses all of her too-big peripherals. Great space-saving right there! I really wish I had bothered to do something similar for my printer, camera equipment, tablet, etc.

Also, I see that plastic dog figurine thing everywhere. Who designed it? Where can I get one?

Ok, So I'm back to two monitors again. I put the MacBook Pro back on the stand and opened it up. I feel productive again... One monitor wasn't cutting it. I like to watch things while I work and I couldn't do that on one monitor.

inspired by sherlockaled, I added a little bit of green. Not for charging per say; my two external hard drives are inside.

realistically I should move the grass to the left side of my desk since that's where the ports are, but moving the light on the right side of the desk is strange since I'm a righty and books/papers are always on the left. ah well.

I like it. It's a lot cleaner than my setup...

And to think, I'm getting ready to install linux on a box because it will work better than my Mac Mini as a server... (unless FireWire 400 is actually faster than USB 2.0 and then I may just go that route...) I also need to figure out why the Mini doesn't do 1Gibt networking on this cable that I'm using...

I love your setup.

I updated the wife's desk. I figured that the 15" MacBook Pro had to go due to the fact she's only using it nowadays at her desk. So a Mac Mini would be sufficient enough for her.

Mac Mini 2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
5GB RAM (1 x 1GB stock and 1x 4GB OWC)
Nvidia Geforce 320M
80GB Intel X-25M SSD

It's perfect. Connected to our trusty old 23" Cinema Display and the B&W MM1's.

How do you like those MM-1's?

Just asking, is that down the street from Nationals Stadium?

How do you like the M10s?
I like them alot, they sound nice and they look nice. Build quality is a bit dodgy here and there.

Where is this table from?
It's a generic office table from an office store here in The Netherlands. I think this kind of tables should be available around the world, but I'm not sure.

I love your setup.
@mdwsta4 +1 great setup. Even your bike matches.
Thank you both

Where did you get the desk?
Desk is from CB2; the go-cart desk: http://www.cb2.com/office-furniture/office/go-cart-carbon-desk/f5320

Love you bike. Brand etc.?
Thanks. The frame is a 70's Schwinn I stripped, powdercoated, and rebuilt as a fixed gear
