It seems that most people prefer their Mac Setup against a wall, or some kind of a close surface.

I was wondering why is that so... Maybe because of cable management, or space optimization, dunno.

Personally, I like to see something else beyond my screens. Even for eye strain and "lock up" it is advisable.

Thank you, community, for this excellent forum.
I'll post mine one of these days.

Great question. Mine is basically against the wall because my tv is right above my monitor, so its good for watching stuff as I photoshop or whatever.

I'm trying to patiently await the new mini's, but it's not been easy. :)

I used to have my main monitor in front of a window... but the shade was usually down (otherwise the sun liked to stare me in the face), so it didn't really matter.

Now it's in a corner, so I have a choice of looking at a wall, or another wall a bit further away :p

it's too old to be going out anymore.

Hehe, that's what we said about my grandmother

I see these setups and I swear I miss what it was like to be single ... to be selfish and have the setup I always dreamed.

@ N10248,

Love that joystick by the TV ... did you build it yourself? Was the source parts from an Arcade box?

It was made with all new parts, the panel was ordered direct from Sega Japan and I've even used original Sega cables to wire it up to its PCB. The box is a wood "floating shelf" which was luckily hollow and the perfect size.

It works with Xbox 360 and PS3, there's some more pictures on my Flickr page linked below...

You just... put it directly on the grass?! You're not worried about dew, bugs, grass stains...?

My MBP is at least two years older than yours and I still wouldn't have it anywhere near grass

He's just trying to be green. Sorry my jokes are lame^2

Be aware if you have your screen infront of a window, on brighter days the big difference in latitude of the tones you see between the screen and outside can bugger up your sight a bit.
