I just finished setting up my office with my new desk that I designed and built myself, I also did a little video walk through showing off the new desk.

@Diotav

How are you finding the Drobo, I am on the verge of getting one, as I feel that it is the perfect solution to my HD problem.

Awesome setup! did the sawhorses come with hollow legs or did you have to hollow them out yourself?

No I built the desk, so when I designed the sawhorses I knew I wanted to run wires inside a few of the legs. Those two were build with a hollow center while the other 6 are solid legs.

Here's my mobile setup.

To use the US Coast Guard motto: Semper Paratus - "Always Ready" :)

Or the USN Beachmaster Unit 1: "Any Beach, Any Time"

Aw, no PalmOS? It's a pretty slick platform too!

I think you mean HP WebOS!!!!

:p

Right now my favorite has to be switching between WP7 and WebOS. Both platforms have a ton of potential and I can see Android's popularity diminishing once word of these other platforms get out there.

Android is way to geeky for the masses. Both WP7 and WebOS has the simplicity crown over Android. And as long as a TaskKiller and Rom Manager are among the top 10 downloads on Android it's too geeky for someone like my mom or dad to enjoy using.

Hey guys, heres an updated pic of my setup, I forgot to set out some of my equipment for the picture shoot, so here we go. I'm still missing my camera, which is an older Canon GL2. Its still standard def, but it's a workhorse, so I'm keeping it around until I can pick up a 7D. Added to the mix are my Alesis UBS Multimix 8 Channel Mixer, and my MXL 990 Condenser Microphone. Unfortunately, I left my mic stand at home like an idiot, so that will have to wait till the next time I go visit my parents.

only problem is when i use it with the macbook closed the internet is super slow

I used to use my MBP closed, but I had to open it because of the same issue. Problem is the antennas are at the top of the display, and they aren't placed for optimal signal when the lid is closed.

Rode makes some good stuff. I love my MXL, I got it on musicians friend for about $60 last summer. A friend and I were starting up a podcast, so we each picked one up, and they are fantastic. They replicate sound very accurately, especially for what we paid for them. I mainly use it for voice overs and sample recording for video/music production. I would recommend this mic to anybody!

Nothing special here. Just a simple setup. :)

Mac Mini 2010 (4,1) 2.4 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD
Acer 23.5" 1080p Monitor
Logitech THX Certified Z2300 2.1 Channel speakers
WD MyBook 2 TB & 1 TB
WD Elements 320 GB
Netgear Wireless Router
ADSL2+ modem provided by my ISP
APC UPS (next to the subwoofer)
Old custom built PC - Intel C2D E8400 3.06 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD, ATI Radeon HD5670, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit. It used to be my main computer, now it's a dedicated gaming PC. The wireless keyboard and mouse for PC are hidden in a drawer when not in use.

Morning All,

I was wondering how to get that Weather App on my MacBook desktop. I have the typophone4 on my iPhone, but can't seem to find it for the OS X. Thanks in advance.

It's not really an app solely devoted to weather. It's called GeekTool...search the threads for it...there's A LOT examples how to get the weather and much more on your desktop. :)
