Nothing special here. Just a simple setup. :)

Nice! Been thinking about going the dedicated gaming PC and macbook route myself. Problem is I have a macbook pro capable of running most games and would have to sell it to build the PC and then get an older 13" for school. haven't convinced myself it's worth the hassle yet.

I used to use my MBP closed, but I had to open it because of the same issue. Problem is the antennas are at the top of the display, and they aren't placed for optimal signal when the lid is closed.

do you use a stand by any chance? i heard if you have a stand then the problem fixes

I actually used to use it stacked on a VCR and DVD changer, but now I just have it on a cooler (haven't gotten around to replacing the thermal compound yet). The Wifi signal was weak with the old setup, and it's weak in the current setup with the lid closed as well.

Of course, the router is in the basement and I'm two floors above it, but still. I have full bars with the lid open now, so you'd think closing it wouldn't have _that_ great an effect....

I just finished setting up my office with my new desk that I designed and built myself, I also did a little video walk through showing off the new desk.

Here's my new Unibody MacBook laying in bed.

IMAG0243.jpg

Started having problems with my used Mid 2007 MacBook so I sold it (it needed a new screen and battery) and decided to upgrade to this model. It combines two of my favorite aspects of previous MacBook's: the cheerful white of the first MacBook and the unibody design of the Aluminum model and combined it to make my perfect MacBook. Going to upgrade the RAM eventually, but I'm happy for now.

I'd prefer the white one over the aluminium one as well, if only it wasnt plastic...

I had a perfectly good 2009 white unibody macbook until my dog decided that my 7 month old laptop needed a drink of coffee. I used my 2006 MacBook until I replaced it with an early 2011 MBP. I handed the 2006 MB off to a friend who is still using it...

They do tend to hold up quite well. My late 2006 MBP is still chugging along, and I expect it will last the next four years for college as well.

...perhaps "expect" isn't the right word, "pray" might be better :D

Pretty modest compared to many rigs here, but my latest addition is a 27" ACD to my now ageing 1,1 Mac Pro. Still looks good though!

Nothing wrong with any of the 1,1 series. I just retired a MacBook 1,1 after replacing it with a 13" MBP 8,1. And by retiring it, I mean I gave it to someone that only had an iMac 1,1.

Here's a familiar scene you all know and love (right?) :D

Here's the other side of the room with the G4 :)

And since I've never done it before, a macro shot ;)

Hurray for keychains! I have tons of Las Vegas keychains. :>

Not exactly sure why the G4's keyboard was sitting in front of the printer like that lol :D

How do I hide these wires?

Just bought this glass desk. Can you guys suggest how I hide these cables? I know I can wrap the cables to the table's legs, but then how would I hide the cables from the monitor to the legs?
