I recently added an Expedit shelf to my living room. There isn't an ikea store nearby, so I ordered it off of eBay. I also added a chair with a "personal table" for working on a laptop or iPad. I prefer the iPad since i can use AirPlay for the headphone setup.

I thought I would use my laptop more with this setup, but the 18 inch screen (it's an HP win7 model) is a bit large for the table.

I have one of those "Personal Tables" attached to my Stressless Leather chair it really only fits my macbook pro 13.3" with room for the magic mouse next to it. Best purchase I ever made. When I want to read on my iPad I just place it on top of the closed macbook Pro and lean back in my chair and enjoy.

What are the glowing things on the shelf?

I need a smaller laptop, but it wasn't in my short term plans, so I need to do some research. I mainly want to be able to edit photos on it, but I am curious if I can get by with one of the Airs for that purpose. It would be nice to have something light and small for trips that can store and edit photos.

I do like the iPad on the Ori case/mount (shown in my pic), though. Even if I add an Air or Pro, I think the iPad will get the most use.

Flameless candles

Since this is the set-up thread and if you don't mind me asking, do you use the box as a carrying case? Surely you must have a real case for your Macbook...

LOL!! I did not think about how that would look. I just got it and I was picture happy. LOL!! :D Thanks for pointing that out. I am carrying it in this.

Those Black MacBooks still look fantastic even today. I really would like to see a black anodised option for the MacBook Pro line. :)

Exactly. Imagine black MacBook pros. That would be so cool. I'd buy it on the spot.

My setup at work! We have a remote office setup in Chicago (most of us work from home), but we decided to rent out a small condo space and set up a small cube farm.
