I don't mean to offend, but what made you choose for this setup over a 27" iMac?

My setup. Nothing special or fancy, not even very clean. It usually looks worse with more papers and cups of coffee lying around.
Ill prolly move the old one again as i dont use it that much.

Just got the LCD today.
I like it this way, less stuff on the desk the better, those brushes are drying, thats why they are there, usually i only have the MBP, the speakers and the canon 550D on top of it, unless i'm drawing something, cause if i am, its a HUGE mess, brushes, pens, pencil everywhere, but when i'm done, all back to normal!
I have to buy a stand for the mbp and a wireless keyboard, but for the next month or so i can't spend more money!

Future upgrades will be cheaper this route. I installed 8GB of ram and currently installing SSD.
I run an online business so the phone is required.
iMacs use the same ram and hard drive. It will be slightly more work to change out the hard drive though but not much.
I think the point is that he can upgrade the computer without upgrading the monitor along with it. I'd also say that it's considerably easier to work on a mini than it is to work on an aluminum iMac.
I've got no idea how you all keep your desk's that clean. There is no way you can keep that up if you do any work.
Admittedly, my desk is normally a bit tidier. But i'm just a 16 creative kid, who use's his computer to get Work done!

To be honest, I cleaned up my desk for the photo. You should see it when I'm art journaling...paper scraps everywhere.
yeah, I've got the cutting mat for art stuff. I can't draw or paint. I just like to try. But scrapping and stuff is great fun. I want to get back into it again

I have the same lamp, but mine is in Orange. The top melted a little when I put a regular lightbulb in there though

Traded my Asus G72GX with a broken screen for these about a week ago.
iBook G4, all stock hardware, 1.33Ghz version, OSX Leopard. Used for surfing in bed or while I'm on the Xbox. I plan on maxing out the RAM only.
Powermac G4 MDD, Dual 867, OSX Tiger, I upgraded it to 1.75GB RAM, the rest is stock. Oh, and I have a 1TB external, a multi-card reader, and a 4 port USB hub (blue glowy thingy) that you can't really see.
I was planning on upgrading the hard drive, graphics card, and up to 2GB of RAM, but I'm slowly coming to accept the fact that it would probably be much easier/better (due to hardware and software limitations) to just buy a new Macbook Pro in a few months.

I never even turn it on. Haha. I have a built in light right over my desk. I really should move the lamp to my bedside table, but I use it to hold pens and things.

My lady's had that exact same lamp too; of course it melted when she added a regular bulb.

iCole, what is the machine to the left of your iMac? I notice the SNES style gamepad.

People just clean their desks off. I do it every night before I leave (both my office desk and home office desk), no reason to have stuff laying around.

Behind the keyboard you also see my 2 microfiber clothes that i use to clean my mac screen and overall !!
