I have no idea what my old username was on here so i had to create a new account :p

anyways, while i have my office under construction i had to set up a temporary location to get my work done... like our basement. slapped some paint on the walls and, threw down some carpet, and sparked up the power mac G5 to heat my legs:

it's incredibly temporary but it gets the job done. i can't afford to be with out my workspace as it keeps me paid.

for the most part all the wires are hidden and coiled, but all that needs to be done to move this set up is to unplug from the wall and go!

The power is actually run through your cement walls? Don't see that every day.

yeah and the previous owner did a crappy job, the ran emt piping up to outlet boxes and them cemented over it all. you can really start to see it on the outlet to the left of the desk as they clearly moved (slid) while the cement was drying lol. But it will all change soon. This project takes place after my office is finished but it will receive completely new walls and a wood floor for our projector/game room.

Really quite fond of the way those iBook G3's look. I had a 12" and 14" G4 but they don't have quite the same charm. No picture update because literally nothing has changed since last time I posted here.

They look amazing, indeed - really modern for a 2001 notebook.
At first, I thought the 12" screen would be really small but I think it's quite neat.
I'm lucky to have a fully functional model - there are a lot of iBooks that are overpriced, not working (properly - faulty display, keys missing, CD or DVD-drive not working) - and it was cheap too! I got it for € 50 ($ 70) and most of the iBooks in the Netherlands are € 100 ($ 140).

Accidentally posted this in the under 18 setup thread. I must have been tired last night.
Made some major changes to my setup sine my last post. Got a new 13" MBP and sold the 20" iMac and my old MBP. I just got the intuos4 tablet today and a bigger monitor is next on the list. Also shown is my new 4s that i got a week ago. I know i still need to do some cable management but I ran out of tie-wraps.

did you run them on the braces and then down the legs? That was my plan.

For the most part...
you need to get a little creative with the monitor cables on the upper level since it has an exposed back, i chose to do 90 degree angles in and tie wrap along on the support poles and 90 degree back out along the desk. It's definetly not a desk that was designed to hide cables.

Agreed. I will have to get creative as I hate wires. i'm not sure I am going to keep the bookarc dock as I don't like the way I have to run the wires to it. If the DVI to Thunderbolt adapter was a little longer instead of a few inches I might be able to make it work.

It sure was. I got the desk and the matching bookcase for 100 bucks when Office Depot had a sale.
