Is that a 1080p display? What is it like using that up close? Ever get headaches or anything like that?

Nah its a 720. The 1080p was literally twice as much. To be honest, the thing is about as clear as you can get. I'm in front of the thing for hours at a time and no headache issues.

I'll never be able to take a good picture of my set up, the windows in in the back and not lighting hits directly :D

Loving the setups here :)

I've not got a Mac yet, I only own the stuff in my sig (excluding the Macbook Pro 2012) of course.

Is it worth me uploading a photo soon?

how those magnets called? Thanks

Those are called Bucky balls. Available from thinkgeek.com and other places.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the glass on the iMac is held to the chassis by a series of VERY strong magnets. There's a lot of magnets in and around most of Apple's computers.

Not to mention how weak their magnetic field is compared to the magnets...get this.... IN the hard drives themselves

Not to mention the force between two magnets is weakened exponentially as distance is increased... and hard drives are found all the way at the center of iMacs.

New Setup so far after building my desk

It has been a bit since my last post here. :D Had to take some time to build a desk, add an shweet macmini i5 and a fostex 8 track!:)

The G4 is my defacto irc machine, the G5 currently is the server for the house. Compaq currently running Mint 11 for all my cross platform needs, the mini being my work horse.

Not pictured: My now finally dead 2g Iphone, 3gs to replace it, 160Gb Ipod classic, MacBook C2D with other assorted gear.

God that's the overstatement of the year...the pixel density is so low on that "display" (I only put display in quotes because it's really a TV) that I shudder at the thought of using it as a primary monitor.

That is the best handicap sign I've ever seen.

Go ahead haters, -1 me

Took some /slightly/ better pictures. The rubbish desk the Windows machine and it's monitors is still there, though.. :(

Updated. I have moved my iMac and my two other monitors onto the same desk, all plugged into the iMac, but the 24" on the right also switches to my windows desktop which is under the desk.

Sorry for the terrible photo. Just took a quick snap with my phone. (Yes I do sit on a chair, I was just actually finishing tidying my cables up so it was on the side.
