I recently added an Expedit shelf to my living room. There isn't an ikea store nearby, so I ordered it off of eBay. I also added a chair with a "personal table" for working on a laptop or iPad. I prefer the iPad since i can use AirPlay for the headphone setup.

I thought I would use my laptop more with this setup, but the 18 inch screen (it's an HP win7 model) is a bit large for the table.

nice i see ur a man of great taste for sound, monitor speakers, also see some grado headphones and gotta love vinyls. i own monitors aswell but the rs8's for my home theatre same finish. ps is that a macintosh amplifier?

Anyone know of a desk mounted arm that can mount the displays? I actually have 3 VESA mount adapters, but can't find a mount.

I know about the monitor in motion site, but I'm not spending $1300 on a mount.

No, its a Marantz 2220B. Right now I am mainly using it for its great tuner, but the headphone output is also nice for using with the Grados. It has a warmish sound that compliments the bright Grado sound. My dad built the wood box for it..the pic I posted before does not do it justice:

I bought a MBP 15 inch to use mainly with the setup. Not my best pic, but you get an idea about how it works in the setup:

PS I bet those RS8s sound fantastic. I love my RS6 speakers.

Have you just daisy chained the monitors together through thunderbolt?

I would just get one mount for the iMac or two cheaper ones for each ACD just to get everything at the same height.

It seems like a MAJOR oversight for Apple to have monitors that are not height adjustable and then make their Imacs and matching ACDs different heights. I have switched to Dells for flexibility because I got tired of having ergotron mounts for everything when they would not be necessary with a little more built-in adjustability for monitors.

Mmmmm marantz, i love your set up and hearing it would probably be candy to my ears :p RS8's are fantastic probably best speaker i have ever had, they do me well. I was at an audio show here in toronto and heard the new sonus faber line...words can't describe what i heard but too bad they're a little out of my price range :( ANYWAY! classic set up
