The speakers are each connected to a power outlet. On the back you have a choice between TRS (quarter inch plugs), RCA, or XLR. These are studio monitors so they aren't cheap. Each speaker retails around $200. You can go down to the Rokit 5 but after you hear the 6 or 8 you may not want them.

found some m audio bx5 d2's same price as one of those. but same kind of set up. could a y cable be used? 1/8" to dual 1/4"? or 3.5mm to dual xlr... same thing

Just got a new desk.

Yes. Those were my first choice because of price but after hearing the krk and reading about the issues the m-audio have I passed and I went for the krk's. The m-audios are half the price and KRK are 200 EACH. They aren't sold in pairs.

My main apple product is an iPad 2. You all know what it looks like not to mention I just got back from the army so I'm living on my parents floor and my desk is someone in the garage. M first Mac, my powermac g4 is in there too. Wish I had some space to my self for my desk and g4. Oh well. Hopefully this coming year I'll have my own place.

Yes a y-cable can be used. They are balanced on the KRKs as well. I just did this.

Assuming the Mini is connected to the ACD (is that a 20" or a 23" btw?), what's the Cube connected to? Or is that just for show? :D

mini to 23" ACD (on Snow Leopard & Lion)

cube to old 22" ACD out of pic (on Tiger)

17" Powerbook (on Leopard)

24" iMac (Lion)

4 different OS X in my face..

Looking forward to NeXTcube..

My setup: 13" 2011 i5 1.7ghz, 128gb ssd ect... Ditched my imac after the mba made it feel to damn slow! Now trying to fine tune my setup- liking this at the moment but a bookark might be in order I think... and a TB-Display, maybe...

Sorry for the terrible pic quality, I just now realized I left my camera back in the dorm over winter break.

Missing from the picture is my Time Capsule and iPad. The blue accent lighting isn't very visible in the daylight either.

And the greatest soft drink ever! Worth the trip to Kentucky to purchase it every time.

Hi, what lamp is that!?

Loving the setups on here.

All of them are unique in their own way.

One question though; will a setup with 3 Windows laptops and a Macbook Pro and more Apple devices be classed as a Mac setup?

Thanks
