'Setup', for me, is a misnomer. I exclusively use a laptop because I like to be able to work from anywhere (office, sofa, coffee shop, garden, etc) at any time. In reality, this is what I'm normally looking at: a 2011 13" MBA, a Logitech wireless mouse (if I'm on a flat surface), and a budgerigar named Henry who simply will not shut up!

(P.S. Please don't post in this thread if you're not posting a photo of your setup. We don't want to know that you like a calendar too. Ta.)

Aww!!! Look at that little bird!

extremely cool !

Well thank you! :-D

Wow ! This by far has gotta go down as one of the best setups, very nice, are they Cinema Displays or Thunderbolt ?

Thanks!!! Ive been working on it for awhile lol. They are thunderbolt displays.

Have you just daisy chained the monitors together through thunderbolt?

The iMac is actually the new 27" that has the 2 thunderbolt ports on it. Each thunderbolt plug from the displays are plugged into a port each.

I would just get one mount for the iMac or two cheaper ones for each ACD just to get everything at the same height.

It seems like a MAJOR oversight for Apple to have monitors that are not height adjustable and then make their Imacs and matching ACDs different heights. I have switched to Dells for flexibility because I got tired of having ergotron mounts for everything when they would not be necessary with a little more built-in adjustability for monitors.

I would do that, however I can't find pole style single monitor mounts that can handle the weight.

First gen mac pro with 11gb ram, radeon 5770 mac card, 4tb hdd and recently purchased 30" cinema display. Security and extra turbo boost provided by badass Bumblebee 24/7.

Are you one of the turds who goes around downvoting feedback posts?

What's the point of posting photos if people aren't supposed to give feedback?

Beautiful setups, I love that idea of custom wiring some LEDs together, I've been pondering doing that with white LEDs.

$1300 for a monitor stand is definitely out there o_O DAANG!
