'Setup', for me, is a misnomer. I exclusively use a laptop because I like to be able to work from anywhere (office, sofa, coffee shop, garden, etc) at any time. In reality, this is what I'm normally looking at: a 2011 13" MBA, a Logitech wireless mouse (if I'm on a flat surface), and a budgerigar named Henry who simply will not shut up!

(P.S. Please don't post in this thread if you're not posting a photo of your setup. We don't want to know that you like a calendar too. Ta.)
Nice webcam :)

Back with better photos.

This is my MBA setup for the office (just had my Asus screen delivered) and thought it would be best to get some pics :D. Will post pictures of my iMac later :D

That is a great garbage can. Where did you get it?

I really like the metallic color of it. Is it real metal or is that just the paint job?

Can't find stuff like that anywhere!

LOL. I hate it actually. I think I got it at bed bath and beyond a whole ago. I just hate how you can see everything in it. My OCD makes me either not use it or empty it everyday.

I believe it's aluminum. Honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. it bends easily.

Haha.. I mean, it's a decent garbage can.. but I was just being an immature stupidface and commenting on something random without posting a photo

Sorry!

I hope you find a garbage can that you can love and cherish forever.

I just love that stack of post-it notes you have there.

Wow, time for part 16 already! Feels like just yesterday this thread was started

Anyhow, a quick n' crappy shot of my temporary setup while at home from college (just picked up the 23" cinema display today, and yes, I am using an iPad as my keyboard):

Happy holidays to everyone!

Please ignore the mess; I am going on vacation and am packing up the necessary apple goodies. I will clean it up soo though and give you a better pic!

What you see:
-2011 13" Macbook air Ultimate
-Logitech M305 Mouse
-WD My Passport 500gb
-Macbook air Superdrive

Once again ignore the ugliness and mess!

My Setup

Here are some of the boxes (We have at lease 7 more)
-Macbook air Box
-USB Ethernet Adapter
-Apple Gift Card
-iPod shuffle box (3gen)
-iTunes cards )15, 25, 10, 10, 10, 50, 50)
-Apple Care protection plan (auto-enroll)
-macbook air superdrive
-iPhone 4 black 16gb box
- (My favorite) unopened Max OSX Version 10.1 upgrade disk!

These are some of the boxes:
Right Here

Any suggestions would be appreciated. What would you advise getting? I dont really want an external display. I was looking at the stands for macbook air's but they would serve no purpose. I think I am pretty much set in terms of gear, just need to redecorate (for lack of better words)

Tonight on a whim I decided to buy a new hard drive for the old G4. The current one installed is the original Maxtor which has become unbearably slow and obnoxiously loud. At the moment I'm cloning the internal hard drive to my backup while I wait for the new one to come. I've read the instructions online for installing the new hard drive and I was wondering the best place to pick up a Torx screwdriver set? I only need Torx T10 and T15. Just ordered a stick of 512MB RAM off eBay for the internal slot too. Hopefully this thing picks up a little bit in speed... the only thing holding it back besides overall age is the damn hard drive.

love the G4!
Best Buy sells an awesome little set in their home theater department that is like $10 with 50 head attachments including torx. I have one and i freakin love it!

You've got my overseas set up beat by a long shot. How did you have room to bring all of that stuff?

tuff box in the connex but i bought the keyboard and laptop stand online. the monitor i "acquired" from another tent no one was using. same with the table. its a small tent with 8 people and we used to have 10. one time we came back from a mission and they gave us another tent. theres a couple people out here living pretty good and i try to make the best of it when i am here on the FOB.

I love the desk. I have the same one, but mine is mostly black-brown, with white drawers.
