Just got a Thunderbolt Display!

Nice, too bad Apple monitor are super glossy only, too much reflection for my taste, I would love to get a thunderbolt matte display.

I will keep my dell monitor, and upgrade with a macmini and a mbp 15"or
mba 13/15 depending on what new model apple will make this year.

Based on the stand I'm pretty sure it's a Samsung 6 series.. The 7 is where they start the X-like chrome base. And I have one but a bit larger for the living room..

I could be wrong though :D

edit: helluva room full of awesome products though, too!

  • 2012 iPad - 64GB Wi-Fi Black
  • 2011 27in iMac - i5, 12GB RAM, 1TB HDD
  • 2011 13in MBA - i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB Samsung SSD
  • 2011 11in MBA - i5, 4GB, 128GB Toshiba SSD
  • iPhone 4S - 32GB AT&T White
  • iPod Nano with iWatchz Brown Timepiece Leather watchband - 8GB Silver
  • Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse, Apple Wireless Keyboard
This is a little misleading since I'm currently in the middle of trading my 11in for a 13in, so I took a picture of both just for fun haha :D ... iPad and MBA usually stay near my bed, and both come with me when I go to class, so my desk mainly houses my iMac and a speaker dock for my iPhone.

To the left of my desk is my entertainment center, with my TV hooked up via HDMI to my iMac. I often control my iMac from either my MBA (screen sharing), iPad (Splashtop), or iPhone (Mobile Mouse Pro) if I'm watching Hulu or something through my TV. I also have a few game consoles :)

Why do you bring both the iPad and the Air to class? How does the Air NOT satisfy your needs in class? :p Just curious!
Fantastic setup.

Im curious about your lighting. Seems like you've got many ideas when your at your desk. Could you please tell me where would some one be able to get them?

Unfortunately i live in İstanbul / Turkey so you can't able to get them. My desk is custom made.

Why you are curious about my lighting i can't understand... About ceiling lighting ?

Thanks! Here's an image search via Google of the image, hopefully this link will work- Link

If that doesn't work, this page has a 2560x1600 version - Link... This page has a bunch of different sizes, but it might be watermarked at the bottom, I don't remember - Link... Let me know if none of that works out haha

Hahah well with transitioning from the 11in to a 13in + iPad, I'm still trying to figure that out. But mainly I use the MBA in classes/labs/group meetings where I have to run certain software (Cadence, LTSpice, PCSpim, SMOK, MATLAB, FPGA Advantage, Logisim, Microsoft Office, etc) and use the iPad for everything else (perusing the interwebz, checking mail, social networking, playing silly games, etc). Thanks for the compliment though :D

Inspired partially by this thread, I've now switched to a big IKEA Gallant desk (black, wooden top).

It's awesome, but I was wondering whether anybody used some kind of keyboard mat? I have an Apple BT keyboard, and while it isn't moving and the desk is perfectly level, I'm getting a lot of clackety-clack from it again the desk.
