Here is my temporary set up in my home away from home. Got a job in the windy city about 8 months ago, so I had to get an apartment here. I crash here for 1-2 weeks per month and then get to go back home to Md.

Now be honest, are you starting to take an interest in train spotting? ;) Nice and clean setup btw.

lol ... thanks

the trains are fine, they mostly just park them here around 8 pm and then they pull out out around 6 am.

but yeah between the trains and the lake view (better when on the balcony), the place keeps my ADHD in check.

I jumped on the 3D bandwagon.

So ordered myself a 27'' LG LED 3D TV/Monitor overall I'm mega impressed especially with the 2D-3D conversion system the OS X desktop looks kinda strange in 3D like looking at it through a window it does give the desktop pictures a tone of depth though and If I could show ya the 3D I would but sadly not possible.

My old Apple Studio is now connected to one of my Mac minis and matches it rather well :)

rather digging how my setup is evolving

Jumped on the 3D Bandwagon by Ryan J. Nicholson, on Flickr

I would defiantly recommend

The city of Macintosh :)
Oh man...

I love all the setups here. I'm not kidding they are all great, but I realised something very extreme. I love the simplicity of the setups that just have the Mac, the iPad/iPhone/iPod, speakers, keyboard and mouse, but where's the creativity? I mean in all honesty, my desk is a meds. I have my pencils, plushes everywhere, but it feels like home. Am I the only one who thinks this?
Oh, and no offence to the people who have setups like mentioned above. They always look awesome:)

How many £ did that run you, might I ask? And from where did you purchase?

it was on offer from a site known as eBuyer.co.uk not ebay though ebuyer I paid in total with next day delivery £261.00 looks like the prices are going back up though. It was half price was £539.00 according to the site :)

its just an empty bubble bath bottle that I got years ago as a xmas present from someone Its actually rather crude on closer inspection. They are pretty common in shops like Boots, Superdrug here in the UK or pretty much any bath store. I'm a huge top gear fan, can't get enough of it :)

Nice!

Questions: Nokia 5800? Kindle DX? Are you just leaning the MBA against the holder thing, or do you have something to keep it in place?
It's actually a Nexus S but the white thing is a Kindle DX ;-) The Kindle never leaves my bag, it's great, ever for PDF (I'm an engineering student).

Yes, the MBA is leaning just like that, definitely not the best, still looking for an other solution (must look if we have these IKEA napkin holder here in Switzerland).

Hehe, while the desk lamp is very cool, you just showed why I don't really buy them. Whenever I buy a desk lamp it ends up being pointed at the celing or the wall because having them point down gives me headaches :( Hehe, nice though :D I like your constant posts :D

I used to think I was allergic to desk lamps. I wasn't. It's just that it's one light source with usually quite sharp/bright light, so you get really sharp shadows and your workspace is either super bright or not bright at all. I've found that changing the lightbulb to a weaker one with soft light and trying to have several light sources really improves working conditions in comparison to having the whole room lit up.
