This right here is what I want to do with my mini. I have one 23" monitor. Hoping to one day get a second and do a similar setup. Very nice!

Thank you for your comment. Those are Hercules XPS101 speakers. They sound fantastic and look rather nice as well! The sub is underneath the desk.

Sorry for the horrible picture. Fighting the darkness, which is the only time I'm home really. Just bought this desk last week. Would like to get a better monitor and some speakers, but I moved home after university and my dad was just laid off. My income is the families now, so no spending. I have complete cable management tacked to the back of the desk. There is also a hanging power strip on the back of the desk.

Good on you for putting your families needs first. If only a few more of your generation were so like minded we might not be in such a mess. Hope your dad finds something soon.
Physically those 2 MacBooks look great, however the retina trumps the older MacBook for its screen resolution and SSD. I wish they make a retina imac than I can update my rotting 2010 iMac.
