Sorry for the horrible picture. Fighting the darkness, which is the only time I'm home really. Just bought this desk last week. Would like to get a better monitor and some speakers, but I moved home after university and my dad was just laid off. My income is the families now, so no spending. :( I have complete cable management tacked to the back of the desk. There is also a hanging power strip on the back of the desk.

Good on you for putting your families needs first. If only a few more of your generation were so like minded we might not be in such a mess. Hope your dad finds something soon.
 
Physically those 2 MacBooks look great, however the retina trumps the older MacBook for its screen resolution and SSD. I wish they make a retina imac than I can update my rotting 2010 iMac.
