A real blast from the past! A real powerhouse! It cost me more than my first car! The camera used was a early Sony Digital camera. O.3MP maximum resolution! Haha! This was taken in 1999 if I recall.

:apple: Macintosh Centris 650
25 MHz Motorola 68040 W/FPU
AAUI Ethernet
136MB FPM memory (8MB on logic board)
8GB Micropolis SCSI 2 HDD
Apple Multiscan 1705 17" monitor
MacOS 8.1
External NEC CD-ROM drive 2x

I know all them 12 core Mac Pros are jealous! :p

Keyboard and mouse attached to a KVM switch under my desk, the PC below was Win98/BeOS 5

Surprisingly the old 1705 is still working after all these years after giving it to a friend who we got together and built a classic MS-DOS/Win95 game machine for all the old PC games that were collecting dust.

Dungeon Keeper lives on via a Pentium 233MMX using the memory out of my old Mac and my SCSI hard drive.

I'm surprised I still have my Mac OS 8 install CD

Any chance you remember where you picked that desk up at? :CrossesFingersYouAreInTheStates: :)

I'm likewise interested. Unfortunately, in light of his name and the style of electrical outlet seen in the photo, my guess would be that he's in Europe.

Seems as though I've seen the dresser at IKEA though, so perhaps the desk from the same place and there's a chance it might also be available here.

Here was my setup during the summer of 1996. PowerBook 520, Performa 6400, 19" Samsung SyncMaster Monitor, an Apple Personal Laserwriter NTR and AppleDesign speakers. Everything is long gone except the desk...

You've got some really great setups, but that 2011 setup really gets me  love that desk, even though I'm sure it was a nightmare to keep dust free.

Thanks! Yes it was horror. The whole dust thing made me switch desks.

I'm, as is quite obvious, located in Amsterdam. The wooden desk is made by a local specialized wooden furniture shop

The dresser etc are all from IKEA (there are loads of them in Holland, you see)

Your setups are so simple, clean and elegant. I love the one of the iMac on the countertop. When I move next year I'll consider having something like that in the kitchen.

And the one in front of the window is SWEET.

Current setup. Full spec 21.5" 2012 iMac.

Just recently got that monitor (HP Pavilion 22xi), and so I'll be getting a larger desk in the coming coupe of weeks. Just need to get rid of this desk and sort out how I'm going to get the new desk.

Once I do get the new desk, I'll post a picture, hopefully I'll be able to fit the rest of my stuff on the desk. I'm also going to be getting some speakers.

(Also, the monitor is about 4cm lower than the iMac, and I'm propping it up with books right now...anybody know a better solution? The books make it wobbly/uneven, and I need to return one of them.)

i had the same problem when i got the Thunderbolt display to put next to my iMac. its literally like 3/4" to low to have the sides match up. I got a piece of wood and sanded it down and and stained it and its perfect now.
