Yes... I used Glidden paint and it sucks. that is what it looks like after 5 thick coats. I used 2 full gallons on this small room. I will get around to it sooner or later, but for now it has to stay like this...

I would also avoid Valspar. I used that to paint my new office a medium grey which was going over matte finished light green and a gallon barely covered it. This is a 10' x 10' room mind you, thank god for bookcases and posters...

Past: Power Mac G5 Dual 1.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 10.5.8. Loved the thing, even though it was kinda slow.

Present: MacBook Late 2008 Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 8GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Mavericks. Love this thing, speedy for it's age.

The MacBook has helped me convince my mom to switch to Mac. Me and my mom are buying my dad and her a MacBook Early 2008 2.1GHz, 2GB RAM, 120GB HDD, 10.6.8. Mostly it will be used for Facebook, email, some Facebook games, and browsing Craigslist and news sites. It will also get some other things like iWork, Office for Mac, Adobe Reader, and maybe a few other things.

MacPro as a Home server. 2 external drive arrays with 16 3TB drives in a RAID 5 array.

This MacPro also provides train layout operations for my model trains (currently under construction).

What kind of software do you use for your model trains?
Ho scale? Good luck with the construction, I suppose it will take a while until it's finished ;)

I referred to my monitors as led displays in a another tread once. I meant to say lcd displays.
All five displays and both mice, are connected to the 4,1(->5,1) macpro. The G5 is never powered.
The two upper displays are stuck to the tops of the towers with five packs of poster putty each, in case there is ever an earthquake.
The two mouse pads are held in place, by two poster hanging rods taped together. So the keyboard resting on the rod keeps the mouse pads in place.

That is some high tech security you have there, protecting the MPs and monitors :)

Been a while since I posted in here, Sorry folks...

We're moving at last just after crimbo so this will probably be the last time you see my setup looking like this.
Excuse the mess, But what you see is a used Desk, Not a pretty one lol.

I got the iPad 4 Retina so just getting it all set up :)

Once we're in our new place Ill have a far bigger desk, So the Cambridge Audio gear will be going elsewhere for official Hi-fi duties...
I have a set of Fostex PM04n's coming in Purple along with some Foam stands.
I also plan on getting a 24 or 27" ACD for the living room as I'm thinking about getting a new Macbook for the living room so I can have a portable Mac that doubles up as a desktop.
The iMac will then go in our bedroom.
I still have the eMac which will be in our kitchen and finally I now have a Mac Mini 2007 C2D for my sons room.
He's also having my old iBook sand the old Powermac will be sat under my desk for keeps sake lol...

Sorry for the mess, tried to straighten up a bit for you guys. Main computer is a 2008 Mac Pro, Dual Quad 2.8, attached to an Acer H243H via DVI with a dual screen through the original Radeon 2600 XT for a boot screen and extra display. via VGA. I've also got a 4 Port VGA switcher to the second monitor for display of my older Windows 7 Box, (on the floor, next to the PowerMac G4) and an extension of my MacBook Pro '09 (left hand side on a Griffin Riser.) Older speakers, actually, really old, they're SP-115s that were on my parents' first computer, but the sound quality is actually great, surprisingly. My 360 is sitting on top of my Mac Pro, with HDMI into the main monitor. If you're wondering why there's three cases sitting there, those are my two old G5s. You can see the Logic Boards in the third picture. Both had a PSU failure, and they're waiting to be used for a case mod. Later, I'll post my father's setup, which is a G5 Casemod Hackintosh. The Studio Display G4 barely gets used, but I keep it around for lols. Again, sorry for the mess.

I am absolutely in love with this, as a fellow designer space has always been a problem and just having the small space in-between the desk to keep your pencils and books is such a great idea. Far to much inspiration here! Bravo sir!

I got a new custom desk. Design by myself & built by a professional carpenter I know. I'm very happy with it - finally so much space. :)

Here is my setup.

- Sitting on the Rain Design mStand is my late 2012 13" Retina MacBook Pro intel core i5 and 256GB SSD.

- To the right is my monitor an Asus 23" IPS display (MX239H) connected via HDMI with some lights I got at Ikea on the back.

- On the far right is my Sonos Play:3 speaker. (It sounds great!)

- Lastly in the front the standard Apple Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad (Which I love)

- The desk legs are from Ikea ($10 each) and the top was a left over piece of Butcher Block from the kitchen that I stained and coated.

***Poor photo quality is thanks to my iPhone 4S***
