Well I sit right in front of the Macbook, so that isn't uncomfortable. And I don't want my screen further to the middle because it would block my window, and I like the fact that I've got a lot of space for my books and other stuff :).

Here's mine. I think I finally have everything in place after changing desks and whatnot. Pretty happy with the result. I made my own footstool out of scrap wood I had laying around. I am short so my feet never touch the floor.

Very nice setup. Very clean. The foot stool is a good idea. I may have to check what i have in my garage. :)

So I thought it was time to show my first Mac setup :D.

My setup:
- 15" Haswell Macbook pro 2.3 Ghz, 8GB ram and 512gb flash
- Old Acer 19" screen as second display
- Raindesign Mstand
- Apple magic trackpad, and wireless keyboard
- Logitech G9x

Further:
- iPod nano 6G
- PS3, which is connected to my 24" Samsung TV
- Old Windows PC, which is also connected to the Samsung screen.
- Logitech G15
- Time Capsule 2TB
- iPhone 5s, which I used to take the pics :) .

That is a completely insanely cool room.

Just got my first Mac. This thread is certainly helping me work out how to get the laptop sat nicely in my current setup. At the moment my desk seems cramped with both a laptop and a PC with dual monitors.

Your desk is cramped?

I just got my iMac 680 mx machine, I'm still awaiting my third party VESA mount like attachment (allows a vesa mount thru the hole in the iMac's stand...) and I'm having issues with bootcamp, so I've got an old mac keyboard out..

The vesa stand is a rotating one. Basically in the end the new iMac will be at the left almost floating off the desk, and then rotate where it is for gaming/bootcamp.

Everything else is on vesa mounts, including the iMac. Synergy Km still isn't working either, but I have a logitech k810 bluetooth keyboard with 3 profiles, and so I can switch to all 3 machines on the fly (the two iMacs and the core duo mac mini in my sig).

I do a mix of everything, gaming, programming, music, networking, etc. I was gonna get the mac pro, but... I was also going to sell the i5 iMac but at this point they are only worth around $700-$800 on ebay..

The 3 extra monitors are an apple cinema display 27, a dell u2711, and a dell u2212. The dell u2212 isn't exactly in the best viewing angle, but really the core duo iMac is simply a music/video player.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is one of your external monitors seating directly behind the two iMacs?

The iMac i5 kind of slightly cuts off a couple of the edges, but the main reason for the apple cinema being currently behind the new iMac is due to reasons that my first post clearly explained.

Well, VESA stand and not vest stand notwithstanding.... ( damn safari and it's auto correct)

Why do you need so many screens? Its insane.

Quick photo, just quickly edited it so it was visible, getting the new wired keyboard to replace the one on my G5, and getting the M Stand for my MacBook Pro, but besides that here it is :)

(Picture two is a tiny desk by my TV for my clock/iMac G3)

A small update from my previous set-up:

Image

What's new:
-Taurus Raid 2 x 1TB (Raid 1)
-iPod Mini 2G (4GB) - always wanted one, now I do :)

Excuse me for the poor image quality, current iPhone will soon be replaced for a 5S (25-10 if possible haha)

Furthermore; I've got an iMac G4 transformed into a HDMI display, a G4 Cube, and more modern stuff, but these are my favourites design-wise.

like the blue ipod.

MacPro as a Home server. 2 external drive arrays with 16 3TB drives in a RAID 5 array.

This MacPro also provides train layout operations for my model trains (currently under construction).
