sorry for the mess, tried to straighten up a bit for you guys. Main computer is a 2008 mac pro, dual quad 2.8, attached to an acer h243h via dvi with a dual screen through the original radeon 2600 xt for a boot screen and extra display. Via vga. I've also got a 4 port vga switcher to the second monitor for display of my older windows 7 box, (on the floor, next to the powermac g4) and an extension of my macbook pro '09 (left hand side on a griffin riser.) older speakers, actually, really old, they're sp-115s that were on my parents' first computer, but the sound quality is actually great, surprisingly. My 360 is sitting on top of my mac pro, with hdmi into the main monitor. If you're wondering why there's three cases sitting there, those are my two old g5s. You can see the logic boards in the third picture. Both had a psu failure, and they're waiting to be used for a case mod. Later, i'll post my father's setup, which is a g5 casemod hackintosh. The studio display g4 barely gets used, but i keep it around for lols. Again, sorry for the mess.

alex ichhhhhh!!!

I am absolutely in love with this, as a fellow designer space has always been a problem and just having the small space in-between the desk to keep your pencils and books is such a great idea. Far to much inspiration here! Bravo sir!

Thank you very much! When I got the desk even I was surprised how much storage space it has for just being a desk. If you are thinking of building something similar, go for it! :)

Here's mine. I think I finally have everything in place after changing desks and whatnot. Pretty happy with the result. I made my own footstool out of scrap wood I had laying around. I am short so my feet never touch the floor.

If you username is your Jeep I'd much rather see pictures of that :D

Current setup....

Excuse the rubbish picture though, just a quick and dirty photo after tearing the room apart and putting new desks in....

For reference, the desks are Ikea Galant, which I nabbed from Gumtree for 40 quid for 2 x 120x80cm desks and all associated bits (bargain I'd say).

The photos are (left to right) Trainer At Rest in Italy '85, Glencoe, Na Pali Coast. MBA photo is a NiN backdrop from the Hesitation Marks graphics.

Posted my setup a while back, but having just moved around and changed a few things, thought it was time for an update!

Not too shabby for a university setup.
Can't wait to get myself a proper desk instead of a table though!

nice setup :) how do you like the A2s? Wanted to buy them first but I was "scared" they might have not enough bass for my taste. Got the A5s instead and I am happy with the bass they deliver but they need so much space on the desk :(

The A2's are my reference monitors nowadays, my mate had a pair a few years back, and we used them all the time so I know the exact sound that comes from them.
They are VERY powerful and have a decent bass response when cranked, but at lower levels you really lose it, due to their small size, but you can still feel the initial punch even at low levels. All depends on music preference I guess, I engineer rock music and listen to rock and punk, not the dub-heavy scene so not so picky with HUGE BASS.

I was choosing between the A2's and A5's, and only went with the A2's due to having a student budget!
But I would still highly recommend the A2's, perfect for their size and price!

No past setup, only a present since this is my first mac.
Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad, 13" rMBP i5/8/256 and Dell U2412M. Hopefully I will either get a 1440p display or another U2412M since I'm very happy with it but one can always get more desktop space! :)

I've finally been able to upgrade my desk. This Galant from Ikea has a lot more space available on it, and I'm really liking it. There's room for my mac, plus my work laptop when I work from home.

How do you like that bungee office chair? I'm thinking about buying it from the the Container Store.

I actually like it a lot more than the other chairs I've had. I primarily got it because I saw the Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter guys using them, and they are fairly comfortable for a relatively affordable chair.

I also like that I can take the arms off with ease (and the included allen key) for when I want to play guitar sitting down.
