Man....I wish the closest IKEA was less than 5 hours one way.

If you're really dying for the product then there may be a company on craigslist that does Ikea runs on the weekends and such. They charge you much more for the product, but in the end, it is about the same that it would cost you in gas and such.

Those Kludd boards can be recreated most likely. You can likely use a piece of glass from a large picture frame and spray it with frosted paint from your local home improvement store. You could also find someone willing to drill the holes for you. I've drilled many holes in glass using the proper drill bits, patience, and water. You really have to be careful with glass heating up. You can likely spend $20 on a 24x36 cheap picture frame at AC Moore or Michael's (craft store), spend a little less using some random coupon, and then get to it.

Whiteboard pens will work as long as the frosted paint is sprayed on the back and not the front.

alternately, local hardware store for some lexan or acrylic and the same frosting spray, or just some sandpaper.

More go pro Wide Angle shots

Had the Go Pro Hero 3 a few more days now and been experimenting with it in its photo mode. Just a couple more shots around the setup.

1935 GPO 232 Telephone on my desk I restored it a couple of weeks back. In the market for a bell set no. 26 though to get it ringing again. Personally, I quite like the contrast of Modern and old side-by-side :)

I've looked through this thread long enough, and I've finally decided to come out and play. I like all of the simplistic desks, but my preference is something with a little more of a personal touch. This is the desk in my room along with the newest (technically the oldest) addition to the family. Sorry for the low quality ipad/iphone pics.

Sorry for the crappy images but my HTC One X doesn't seem to like low light...

In the pictures there is :

My i7 3770 hackintosh (Mac Pro killer... Literally. It geek benches higher than most Mac Pros) which is connected to a 25inch 1920x1080 monitor, Creative 5.1 speakers (set up as 2.1), Apple Wireless Keyboard (the newer one with launchpad button after the old one has a little "encounter" with a glass of juice...) and a logitech G5 gaming mouse since my Magic Mouse crapped out.

My 32" 1080p TV connected to an Xbox 360 and a Wii on a cheap TV stand that is also holding my iPad, controllers for the consoles, DS and Printer.

On the bed is some random purple monster that my mum decided to get me as part of a joke 17th birthday present so uhh... thanks mum...

Yeah I don't like too much going on. I have a wardrobe too but it wasn't pictured as nobody cares about it, lol. The wooden floors are great. I like being able to roll around on my chair with ease. It wasn't that expensive either. Worked out not much more than carpet which is nice :)

This is the first time I show my setup :p I don't have many Apple products but I'll show you where I do most of my work... so

I do most of my work on a 2008 White MacBook, and a 2006 Mac Mini (hidden), the MacBook is usually connected to my '20 Samsung SyncMaster via DVI, and the VGA port is connected to my Mac Mini since the SyncMaster has two video imputs ;)

Since I'm a Web designer I run a home server where I host some websites I'm working on... so I picked up an old P4 PC with 1,5 GBs of RAM running Windows Server 2008 (I usually work with ASP sad I know ;))

I use that server as well for my Time Machine backups, VPN Server and Active Directory Server for the PC's on my network...

Just moved to a smaller apartment recently, and this is my new setup. Nothing much has changed, still with the almost 5-year old 24" iMac but running very well.

The latest toy I got recently was the Synology DS213. One of the best investments for sure and very much an integral part of my setup now.

Glad it got sorted. Nice clean set up. What do you use the iPad for when its on the hover bar? I like the look of these, but not sure what I would do with the screen.

Thank you! I usually do not use the iPad when it is on the hover bar but when I do, it is almost always to use it with the QuikIO app. There are times when I needed to listen to music in the middle of the night, so I would grab my Bluetooth headphones and listen to music in this way.

Owning a Windows phone, how would you know? ;)

Same way Mac owners know about the abundance of programs on OSX vs Windows ;)

Tried the other platforms, didn't rate either
Camera, email, web browser and call quality.. all I need. And thank the gods there is no official Instagram client either.. it'd make me weep seeing Lumina 1020 pics butchered with those 'creative' filters.
