Went to IKEA and purchased two red table surfaces and 8 legs. Very inexpensive and quite pleased with the results. Matches perfectly with the library I got a few weeks ago.

Plus the additional space allowed me to put some geeky stuff on my desk! :D

Lovely setup! I have the glossy white table top of this model. But I was wondering, what is the brand and product of that desk mat you are using for your mouse and keyboard?

PRÖJS, I just got two from his recommendation, love them!

(Only problem is my Mighty Mouse doesn't work with it, I have to have a piece of paper under the mouse, the glossy white desk for some reason doesn't allow the mouse to work, magic mouse works fine though)

I was worried about my speakers as they are made of wood. I stuck some felt pads underneath. Does the trick very nicely and again it's very inexpensive.

Thanks for telling me about the felt pads! I put them under my cinema display and PMG5, works awesome, much easier to slide them and a lot less vibrations from the Mac

Yea my Magic Mouse doesn't like the glossy white finish very much, but thanks a lot for also confirming that the pad does make it work on that desk.

Ordering the PRÖJS now :)

What are those clear transparent stands you're using for you speakers? Looks awesome!

Thanks! They're acrylic stands I got from the retail department at work. They were going to throw a few out, so I grabbed a couple. Glad you like them. :)

I definitely like the look of them. Looks very seamless and elegant. The thought never crossed my mind about acrylic stands until I saw your photo. I think it's a great idea.

After searching for quite a while, I finally did find some acrylic stands online, actually ones that were also designed with Apple products in mind, and from OWC too. I just ordered a pair for my studio monitor speakers in fact. :D

My setup is almost complete! New desk is all put together and arranged nicely, just waiting on some extra money for a TV mount, decided a trip to Chicago sounded like a better idea :)
