I'm gonna be using my dads HP w2207 external monitor for a little bit.
It's hocked up to my 17" MacBook Pro, which is sitting on top of my little white drawer thing that's to the left of my desk.

Nothing new under the sun! Before I bought my Mac I had planned identically the same set up - except with both wired mouse and keyboard. The only problem was the first two of those HP monitors I got from Amazon came with defects and then they wouldn't send me any more...I'm waiting before I buy another one...I'l post a pic when I get it - it'll look familiar to you I'm sure ;)

Those two monitors look amazing, what are they and how much were they? :)

mine is a lower end samsung, i'll see if i can find the model number for you, it cost me right under $300. i just sat at best buy for a while staring at all of the monitors and noticed this one had a better picture than almost all of the others (there were two much more expensive ones that looked a bit sharper)

im very happy with it

Ah I was looking at getting that exact model in 20". Link :)
What's the quality like? Worth the money?

as mentioned in my post above, i just walked into best buy and picked the one that looked the best that wasnt way more expensive.

it seems to be a very sound product

Second one is a Samsung syncmaster. I have one for my XBOX 360. I prefer the higher DPI of the ACD to the syncmaster, so I kept both in the end!

I'm shocked to see so many people using the Mighty Mouse, particularly the wireless one. Here it costs £49.99 and I think it's probably one of the worst products Apple has EVER made. When it's not struggling to track where you want the cursor to be it's getting confused between left and right clicks and it all feels very, very cheap and horrible to me.

Logitech have a slew of better products on the market, as do Microsoft! Mice with a proper shape and real working buttons that don't get confused, no matter how many times you press them!

Sorry, I just really hate to see an awful product doing well. Perhaps if people stopped buying them then Apple would think about their mistake and put the person who worked on the wonderful new keyboards into the mouse team.

There's actually quite a few people who really like the mighty mouse.

I absolutely abhor my wireless mighty mouse, but I'm still trying to find a suitable bluetooth mouse replacement that doesnt have any issues with osx and is nice looking (meaning white/fits in with the whole apple thing).

For what it's worth - one could be built or rigged with a trip to Ikea, and buying some multi color LEDs. (If you're not afraid to Solder, even cheaper)

They are nice - but knowing there is 10 bucks worth of LEDs in that - kinda makes the price sting a bit too much for me.

Here - Hit Up Ikea - grab whatever Lamp suits your fancy, then hit Think Geek for these to stuff in it. Likely will be nicer (more options design wise), and cost a fraction of the complete unit.

PC? you still didnt get a mac desktop? and its impossible that setup of yours in the first pic was taken 3 years ago, the theme you have on it, Royale, came out 1 and 3/4 years ago, literally.

The Royale theme came out in December 2004 and was widely available by for download as a theme from MS by April 2005.

I honestly don't sit at my desk enough to warrant investing in a mac desktop. The only time I spend time on the PC is when I'm playing rFactor (real driving simulator) on the PC. It's the same PC I had 3 years ago with some upgrades. 95% of my computing is done on my PowerBook all over the house.

I'm one of those people.

My first Bluetooth MM died on me a couple of months ago and I got out my old Logitech wireless mouse to use. Well, I just COULD NOT get used to using it after using the Mighty Mouse for so long. I ended up getting in my closet and digging my wired MM out of the iMac's box.

I then ordered a new Bluetooth MM and that's what I've been using since then.
