I think your desk is too shallow to do anything on, and mine is much deeper, but I don't boast.

i know, but it has drawers, cubby's and the shelves on the side open up like a door revealing a cockboard, and well, more shelves, buts its a good deal!! i have been noticing other people have deeper desks

guessing you've got the 24" there? nice setup, very clean, my setup is clean too, but its VERY cramped, see the sig for my setup

Thanks! actually it's a 20" iMac.... i didn't have enough money for the bigger one :(

Oooh, I love the iMac. I also love the iPod mini. I miss mine

I've had that for at least 3 years now, but my music collection has grown too big for it (it's a 6Gb one). I'm just waiting for it to die so i can have an excuse to get the classic :)

i thought i most post some pics. it really is a crappy setup and i doubt i'll get many replies back to mine. haha. it does me though.

ps. I really can't be bothered cleaning up my desk for the picture so here is a very realistic (unlike most of yours) picture of my setup.

I will reply to your post to politely request that you learn proper spelling & grammar before posting again.

i guessed it was a 20 inch, but then i tried to imagine an ipod mini in front of my 24 and it seemed to take up the same amount of space from the front of the imac as yours did, i should have gone with my instinct:rolleyes:

as for the ipod, heres the best way for a classic, connect the ipod to the imac, format it COMPLETELY, take EVERYTHING off it, including the files that make it work, the actually interface/operating "system" files, so that there is literally no ipod on it, nothing, just a dumb ipod, the take a knife, preferably a pocket knife, or a fork, and SCREW UP THE CONNECTORS!!!! the connecters under the mini so you cant connect it anymore, and if i remember, the 6gb mini had an HD, so throw the damn thing on the floor to destroy it, shake it aggressively, then throw it on the floor again, ill be hoping that you dont have applecare for it, and that its not under warranty, tell your parents that its totally busted, lie a story, and you've got your self a classic, but so that your parents wont be suspicious, if you have any money, try to pay for at least a portion of it;) i hope that helps:D

looks like an ordinary messy desk, nothing to be ashamed of, my desk isnt that messy anymore ever since i got my imac (i dont have room for mess, my big 24 is eating up the space), check out the link in my sig for pix of it

I tend to make fun of the cramped, thrown together setups here in this thread... but, alas, I'm back home from college for Christmas break. And, rather than try to make everything look good, hide wires, grab my keyboard/mouse storage rack, and hook up all my speakers/routers/drives... I just threw it all together last night.

Potential extra monitor. I might mount it on my ceiling above my bed... yay/nay? I already have another TV in the room anyway.

I dunno about on the ceiling above your bed. It'll be awesome until 4AM one night when you wake up to a broken leg and a TV on your bed.

I recommend that you definately read "Eats shoots and leaves", it's one of the best books I have ever encountered on the subject of grammar and the way in which it is used. People like you and I are therein known as "Sticklers".
Proud to be a stickler :)
