I am sure his suggestion if followed would be appreciated. It is rather annoying.

what if im trying to make a point about a different matter? either way those images are on the other page now, the past has pasted by, now we're on page 41, 1 more page than page 40, and 1 page newer as well:rolleyes:.

(snip) I have a sauder, does anyone recommend to me a Beech Vineer color desk from Ikea that is no more that $450? I also need desk space for my school work, and just life, if you see my pix, desk a while back with my PC was crowded and junky with magazines, why? i had room, now, look at the new pix, hard to believe i dont even have room to make a mess:eek::eek:

You can get a wood top and legs for about $100. They have a multitude of tops and legs.

I got this top in birch veneer: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50115536

and some legs that were like $5 a piece. It is a big desk; 59" wide and 29" deep. I really like it. It is holding 2 24" LCDs and there is tons of space left.

$450 would be grossly overspending. I prefer a flat desk, no hutches, etc. If I want shelves I mount then on the wall around the desk.

I agree with your original point about TIMG, but it is also forum etiquette to not quote 11 pictures. Choose a few so we can easily see which post you are referring to or we can just click on the blue arrow in the quote to see.

Ok, you see my desk right? well, i have a 24 inch imac, it fits in my Sauder desk fine, but its kinda cramped, now, forget about price or anything, and do you think it would fit in this?:

it looks even smaller, but im not sure, what do you think?

Well it says it only fits a 19". I don't know it would work or not. You may end up having to pull the iMac forward thus losing space.

I wouldn't buy a desk like that. Like I said, hutches are extremely limiting. And I also woudn't limit myself with a corner desk either.

My suggestion is a slab of wood and some legs.

To simple after this Sauder, i need some kind of hutch or something, but that monitor alone looks like 17", there looks like room for a 24". And I'm not going to go through pushing my desk forward, i cant even push my imac to the back of my desk because of my speaker cubby holes:mad:

Why do you need a hutch?

forget everything you know, and look at this!!!!:

http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/s...uctId=87094&cmArea=SC2:CG33:CL161508:SS998674

it looks nice, no hutch, L desk, i like, im not getting the dimensions though:(. do you know how long each side is??? I'm trying to understand it!

EDIT: one thing im not liking about it is that you cant place the imac in the corner, cuz the legs are in the way:mad:

They don't detail it like that. It is probably 30-35" for each section and 29" deep.

What legs?

you sure about the dimensions? the legs are in the center, so i cant put my feet there it would be very uncomfortable to put the imac in the center

I am guessing on the dimensions.

It would make more sense to have the iMac on would part of the 'L' and do work on the other.

either, im not sure, this will be in my bedroom, and our upstairs is carpet, nothing looks good on carpet, so if we get a hard wood, or move (which we may), ill look into a new desk, right now, carpet won't be the best thing

I got a new camera today (Canon A570 IS), so I figured I would post some new pictures of what my room is like. Please note I have done no cleaning, this is a "normal" room for me. Maybe I'll clean it up after the new year and post back what it's like when it's all pretty.

All the papers and crap on my desk are the backlog of mail and crap from over the holidays -- I'm way behind at the moment, so pardon the mess. Also, my bed isn't made which isn't rare, but isn't normal. Finally, over in the corner near my guitar all that crap in the floor isn't mine; my roommates sister is storing some stuff in here until she gets a place to live, so I'm helping her out. :)

Hi everyone, i'm new here at MacRumors. Today and yesterday ive checked EVERY post in:

Post Your Mac Setup: Past & Present! (part 1)
Post Your Mac Setup: Past & Present! (part 2)

and that is because after january 15th im getting a Macbook PRO. I'm totally remaking my room and I need a new Computer and a new LCD 32" Flatscreen TV. (Wide ofc) So i've been checking this forum out since many people got my style here. Clean and easy.

I've gotten many ideas from you guys, so thank you for that. Please post more pictures of your Mac-stuff, Me love.

One more thing, I've had the most unlucky Mac-experience so far... Ordered a Macbook (2.2Ghz) and 4 days after I got it, it wasnt starting, just went to work and when I got home started it up and didnt start, tried to talk with Apple and nada, checked every forum, no real anwsers, I sent it back and got a new one, 1 day after I got that, the "Random-Shutdown"-crap got to my Macbook. It restarted whenever it wanted. Pretty funny, so I took my money back and im getting a Macbook PRO after 15th to see if they are updating it. I'm very excited, I know Mac is one of the best on the market. I had an iMac for a few months, worked FLAWLESSLY. But I sold it because I wanted a laptop. So atm i'm using my brothers old computer ^^

Looking forward to many setups here and I will post my remade room with the Macbook PRO and juicy TV when its done. :) Thank you for a Great forum! I will for sure stick around.

I love seeing people say things like this when they have just taken delivery of 2 DOA laptops! That's what blind fanboyism does to people.
