I hope Apple excepts bargains:rolleyes:. I only have $110 left after my Ex WD HD :(. But if he wants to get serious, i think he would something more pro than that thing.

You have got to be kidding me. Excuse him, I am guessing he doesn't have mommy and daddy to buy him everything. Considering he set it up himself it is completely unacceptable for you to ridicule his server and load times. All I have seen you do is post your "toys," nothing much of substance you have created or accomplished yourself.

He does it for fun, which he stated in the post you quoted. I can't even believe you told him to get an Xserve. You are one spoiled little kid. Go do something constructive. Please. You are a disgrace to all hard working individuals.

Get a handle on reality little kid.

Yh, i deffinetly cant afford an xserve. I bought my current server off ebay for £40 and have kept it going for the past 3 years with only a single hard drive failure (not bad going). Like i say its only for fun, but the main reason for poor load times is my internet connection im on a home pipex connection with 2mb download and 512k upload thats the reason for the slow load times. My server is a little under 20% load most of the time so i shouldnt think it is a issue with my server.

Seriously. What is wrong with you? He doesn't have the money and he is fine with the way it is now.

Read this: You are a spoiled little brat who clearly needs a reality check.

Lay off people who don't have as much as you or the money to go buy an Xserve because you think their site slow. On a server and site designed by him no less. You have a lot of nerve and no brains.

20 vs 24" ?

So I'm wanting to buy a new imac but I can't decide. I could get a 20" with better RAM (2g) and internal HD (500g) or get the 24" and go standard. What's your advice? Are the 4 inches worth $300?

I'm not trying to play Moderator here - but I DO like this thread - and feel many others do as well. So let's kindly take the tit-for-tat into another forum (or better yet, PMs)

Please, for the sake of the many.

And as some momentum - I'll post updated pics of my setup once I finish re-arranging my room. (which I'm doing right now)

Cheers.

It depends... what do you plan on using your iMac for? Many people have complained about the 20" panel not being suitable for photo work or anything serious like that. However, I viewed one up close and they didn't seem that bad to me. It might be better to ask this question in the iMac forum; you'll get a better response there.

Oh yeah, 4 inches just means, 4 inches more of movie space, 4 inches more of screen real estate, 4 inches more of aluminum on your desk, and so on:p:rolleyes::apple:
