I had my Mac mini m1 for little over two months and it has been a solid and fast machine. It sits in my home office with my work laptop I use for telework during weekdays.
Setup consists of:
Mac mini M1 (512 GB SSD/16 GB of RAM)
Monitors: 2x Dell Ultrasharp 2415 24" IPS displays
OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock
External Drives: 2x Caldigit AV Pro 2 with 3 TB WD Red drives
Mouse/Keyobard: Logitech MX Anywhere 2S Mouse and Corsair Strafe Keyboard
iPad Pro 9.8" with Smart Keyboard and 2018 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard
Speakers: Bowers and Wilkins M-1 Loudspeakers connected to a NAD D3020 v2 Intergrated Amplifier (Optical audio connected via OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock)
The M1 Mac mini replaced my Hackintosh, which is built around a X99 platform and a Intel 6820k and Vega 56 graphics. I took the Vega 56 out and put it in my eGPU for my MacBook Pro and added the 980ti, and turned it into a VMWare ESXI server.
