The problem with the 27” is the DPI is too low. Even the 24” is less than Apple’s retina standard @184 DPI
(though my old eyes can’t really tell). Apple’s retina is about 218 DPI.
Yeah but that will always be the case, unless you get a 5K display. 4K with scaling looks pretty sharp to me (and sure beat the 2540 x 1440p display I replaced!).

Had the M1 MacBook Air since November 2020 and the Mac Pro (now without a dedicated display) since April 2014.

Updated my desk with my Vanatoo Transparent One speakers and cleaned up the desk with a new pad.

How many years have you gotten out of that MacBook? Nice setup
Got it July 2012, it has the high res ant-glare display.
Since a few years with upgraded 16GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. Stuck on Catalina but still flying fast.
I am most surprised by the battery. 1269 cycles but can still use if for periods of working, presenting, etc. No issues at all.

That's awesome, the 2012 was my first ever mac portable and its still my favorite generation with the keyboard and the ability to upgrade it. Just picked myself up a 2012 with dvd drive to upgrade
