Nice & clean setup!
Curious, which brand is the stand between the AirPods Max and the MBP?
Thank you!

It is a "BYOC" (bring your own charger) stand by Elago. I was tired of fussing around with wireless third party stands that were not charging my Watch Series 7 correctly and also didn't take advantage of the faster wireless charging capability of iPhone 13 Pro.

So, the charging pucks you see are Apple's MageSafe charger for the iPhone and the wireless charger that came with my Watch Series 7.

Above the spot for my watch is where the AirPods case sits down in the charge (via a lightning cable).

The only potential "downside" with something like this, is this takes up three plugs on my power strip. But the benefit is each one of my devices charge at their optimal speed. So, for me, it was the best solution out there.

You are pretty well organised, I like this way of thinking. It is indeed the best option and the "downside" doesn't weigh up too the benefits. Thank you very much!

Just fyi, if you buy something from Elago, it may take a little while to ship. When I ordered mine about a month or so ago, they were in the process of moving office buildings. I am sure they are done now, but it took about a week and a half to get. They were easy to work with!

Looks impressive. What exactly do you have there for the audio ? And those monitors ?
Audio in Picture are the 2 front Speakers Klipsch-RF7-III the Center RC64-III, of course the 2 R115SW's by Klipsch.. PowerAmps are 2 RB1582-II and an RC1590

Monitors are LG 43" LG43UN700B

My best friends gave me HomePod minis today. I removed my Bose sound link now and replace it with 2 stereo paired minis. I love it!
I like your setup. How do you like the HomePod Minis? I'm thinking of doing the same. Is there any lag when watching videos or video chatting? Anything you don't like about them?

Love seeing all of the Studio Display pics! They finally fixed the most glaring hole in the lineup. I'll add to the fun. First picture is this morning, second/third are after a nice UPS man came to visit. I am most surprised by how short the Thunderbolt cable provided with the monitor is. Does anyone know if an Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable would be a sufficient swap? I have a longer one of those, but not TB4.

How do you like it? I’m still using the Thunderbolt Display and I’m having problems to justify to myself to spend 1600 on the new studio display. I’ve been using the TBD since 2012 and it’s still rocking and works flawlessly.

do you find much better the new one? I don’t really need 5k because my work it’s mostly office and command line, I work in IT so I would buy that just for the aesthetics and the perfect integration with Mac computers.

amazing setup! I would love to have the space to move my desk from the current position facing the wall ;)

Thanks!

For me, the main difference with the Studio Display vs the Thunderbolt Display is the Pixels Per Inch (PPI).
A lot of reviewers critique the lack of high refresh rate on the new displays, but for me, the PPI is more important and I could not go back to a 1440p monitor (or non-P3 colors), even a 4k on a 27" look pixelated to me now.
It's going from normal displays to Retina displays, no more visible pixels. The last non Retina display was the iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad mini 1, and Macs before roughly 2016.
I would assume most people would want to upgrade from non-retina mobile devices but since computer displays are a bit further away, it is not as dramatic so if you are ok with a thunderbolt display, hang on to it longer because there's rumors about more displays coming.

If you can, keep using the Thunderbolt displays! I love them and even though they are 2560x1440.

What’s your settings / application for the Rode with it sitting that far up?
ended up returning it, bought wireless go's from rhode for when I would have needed broadcasting mic's, the rest is covered by my MacBook Pro propped up to get the most of league of legends, audiotechinicas for discord output and the hardware microphone for the input.

The 5K panel is gorgeous and I love the adjustable height stand and speakers, but if you’re satisfied with the TB display then I recommend you continue using it! I own a video production business so when I replaced my TB display, I was able to immediately put it to use at our office. We have 4 TB displays in total that are still in use on a daily basis. I just wanted an update at home and really love the ASD with the one caveat of the ultra wide camera being a poor design decision in my eyes.
