Love the Rangers swag

I looked up those type of chairs and they are crazy expensive!

Are they really that comfortable?

----------

forgot to quote above

yes i have an aeron chair and its a life saver. If you sit at a desk to way too long during the day where the apple watch might freak out if you didn't stand up for a few hours at a time its worth it. Also they are built to last. I think mine as a 10 warranty so over time instead of buying a new crappy chair at staples every 2 years it works out better.

Yes, but it's a different kind of comfortable. Not like a sink into comfy, but a keep your body posture good kind of comfy. it's hard to explain.
The first few weeks that I had the chair, it actually wasn't that comfortable. But after I got used to it and adjusted it correctly, it's just amazing. I can not imagine going back to a cheap Staples chair.

Your setup is always looking great! I don't remember - do you have detailed somewhere what all you are running on those displays? I know you have some cameras around your property and I'd really like to see the details on that part of the setup.

What make are they, and how expensive if you don't mind me asking?

It's nothing too special. When I get home from work tonight I will post a picture of it.

Herman Miller Embody. I think the way I configured mine, it was around $1,400.

Oh god, I must've named my buddy list that over 10 years ago. I just don't have the heart to change it to something more adult. And hell yes, I love R&L, notice my coffee mug in my setup?

What did you choose for your home IP setup? Looks great
I use Foscam IP cameras. They do the job, but I do want to upgrade to something with a DVR.

My desk at work - this Mac Pro we just got in for one of our other offices, so I'm getting a chance to play with it for a week or so. Typically I have a 15" MacBook Pro on an MStand, along with the OWC Thunderbolt 2 dock (replaced a Belkin that had a bad ethernet port). The monitor is Dell U2713HM, running at 2560x1440. Rellay like the monitor

That tabletop... It's beautiful! Where did you get it?

It's a slab of solid pine. Got it from IKEA some years ago, not sure if they still sell it. It came untreated and I spent a couple weeks varnishing it-- it's got at least a dozen layers on there. The table has been through quite a lot...but I think the time I spent doing that paid off :)

never mind the table top how about a components list you are running on that bianchi ;) Nice set up

Thanks, it's just running all stock right now. Thinking I might convert it into single speed later this year and upgrade all the parts, we'll see!

Both are very nice!!

Your bike isn't a single speed already? Or is it a fixed gear?

It's a fixed. Might throw a flipflop hub on there in the future to make it SS. I have a road bike already though, so I might not. If I really want to coast, I could just take that one out instead. :p

Home Office... continued.

I posted this first photo last week:
office-feb-2015.jpg

At the desk is a Mid-2010 8-core Mac Pro, an Apple 27-inch LED display, a NEC 27-inch LED Display, a 13-inch MacBook Air, Wacom Intuos4 Medium, plus miscellaneous versions of hard drive/storage and UPSs under the desk.

The living room and the office are actually the same room:
living-room.jpg

There is more seating, not pictured.

I modified my coffee table top to slide forward to reveal a keyboard and trackpad... so I can control Plex (running on a Core i5 mini) from my couch.
plex-control.jpg

The cupboards above the TV house network equipment (managed switch, router etc), a UPS, and storage (hard drives, RAID, etc).

...and here's the boss. :)

I like this, this style looks very similar to my old apartment. Everything is nicely organized and spaced out.
