Looks really nice. How do you find the size/resolution?

Had only one evening with it so far so not yet totally settled. But still I am pretty sure there is no going back :)

switching from 30" to 40" the screen real estate doubled :) and hugely increased resolution pumped DPI only from 100 to 110. And becouse I never had any issue with pixels in my cinema display, running this in native resolution gives me so much more space and everything looks little crispier and only slightly smaller than before.

I also thought of 27-32 4K monitors. With those you would have better DPI, but not much more working space. Not without making everything tiny anyways.

So in my opinion this is the way to go.

Morning... here is my work setup.

Macbook pro 15" 2015, fully spec'd
iPad Air in Belkin Ultimate Case
iPhone 6 Plus (used to take photo)... sorry for quality, crappy lighting at work.
Mac Mini is used Headless for remote work via RPD and Parallels Access. Also used for capturing Mac DeployStudio images... God bless thunderbolt speed.

So we have my messy desk here with the Mac Mini. The reason for two keyboards? Well the mouse and gaming style keyboard is for my gaming PC. The logitech wireless keyboard with trackpad is for my Mac Mini. I have a set of logitech speakers with subwoofer. Obviously the subwoofer is under the desk. The speakers are hooked up to the PC, and the little blue speaker is hooked up to the Mac Mini. Also, my desk is always messy.

It's organized chaos. And yes, I collect Godzilla stuff.

Here we have my MacBook and iPad 3 next to it. The black laptop in front of the iPad is my black MacBook. It needs some TLC, so I didn't really post a pic of it. Surprisingly, the seller on eBay was selling it for $15. Said he didn't have the means to test it, so he was selling it as is. I took a chance on it, and it worked perfect out of the box. Just really dinged up parts and sticker residue all over.

Finally, mainly for the lulz... as I have nothing else I use this desk for (well, laptop repair). It's my 2006 MacBook Pro hooked up to a 15 inch monitor for dual displays. I had no other use for the monitor, so I though, "why the hell not?"
There are a couple of shelves that hold my iBooks and PowerBook G4s underneath. But yeah, that's my Mac setup.

Picked up a used 27" TBD for my bedroom office, I actually prefer something in the 24" size for my room but there's not much options for my 13" macbook pro.

Here's the before...

And now.. Installed new lighting fixture to spotlight so I can ditch my table desk for cleaner desk surface...
Planning to upgrade the table legs with some DIY piping since the ikea legs are not sturdy at all..

A little has changed since last year but not much difference... Fixed the wobbling issue by mounting the table to the wall studs.. Added a drawer underneath the table, new K811 keyboard since my wireless keyboard gave up after 6 years.. and finally a new office chair I am willing to show...

My plan is to replace the macbook pro to a Mac Pro in the near future...

Would you mind sharing what you used for the overhead lighting? Is it comfortable or does it strain your eyes at all?
