Thank you for posting this ! :)
Been thinking about bying that desk

It's a great desk. I wasn't sure if I should get this or the BEKANT electric professional version, but for half the money, the SKARSTA is great value.

It costs about 45 seconds to get it fully up or down and the desk is quite sturdy in both positions.

Nice class apple computer you got there on the shelf.
Thanks! That's my old SE on the top shelf, then one down is a PowerBook 540c and a ThinkPad 760XL. Left of those is my collection of originals - my old original iPhone, iPod, and Apple TV. And a small portion of my book collection - you can never have too many!

A little has changed since last year but not much difference... Fixed the wobbling issue by mounting the table to the wall studs.. Added a drawer underneath the table, new K811 keyboard since my wireless keyboard gave up after 6 years.. and finally a new office chair I am willing to show...

My plan is to replace the macbook pro to a Mac Pro in the near future...

Wanted to change my setup a bit again... Moved my old 2011 iMac back to my room for a dual screen setup. I'm enjoying the dual screen experience again..

Sorry if this is like an old subject but do you really have to prop up the TBD to make it level with the iMac? You'd think Apple would've sorted that out.

I think I will always have to have a Macbook Pro as my main laptop. I have had too much joy with my late 2013 rMBP to even consider another laptop. I won't be replacing this one for awhile anyway. Here's my setup with the ipad air 2 on the far left and my rMBP on the far right.

I've been meaning to take better pictures of my setup, but I haven't had the chance, so for now here you go.

First, this was taken about a year and a half ago. This is what my setup looked like up until a month ago.

Since then I've gotten a new 5K iMac, so I had to make some modifications to the desk. Removed the large shelf, added two smaller speaker shelves.

Had only one evening with it so far so not yet totally settled. But still I am pretty sure there is no going back :)

switching from 30" to 40" the screen real estate doubled :) and hugely increased resolution pumped DPI only from 100 to 110. And becouse I never had any issue with pixels in my cinema display, running this in native resolution gives me so much more space and everything looks little crispier and only slightly smaller than before.

I also thought of 27-32 4K monitors. With those you would have better DPI, but not much more working space. Not without making everything tiny anyways.

So in my opinion this is the way to go.

I absolutely love mine. I moved from a 3 screen setup (19-24-19) and love the simplicity of one big screen. I use divvy to keep my windows tidy.

Every time I use mine i am amazed at the age of wonder we live in, and this screen is the main reason I look at the current Mac range and wonder if there will ever be a new Mac I want to "upgrade" to? Who wants a puny 27" iMac after using a 40" screen? nMP costs too much, and Mac Mini won't drive 40K at 60Hz.
